21.01.2022 Brunei Update: Brunei Darussalam introduced the final phase of its roll-out of sharia law this month, specifying severe penalties for theft, adultery and homos...exual acts. Sentences which could be imposed upon those found guilty include the severing of limbs and death by stoning. I have ceased making bookings with Royal Brunei Airlines and any bookings will now not be protected under MTA`s Zero Flight Risk (ZFR) guarantee program. I believe there may be some risk to passengers even if they are not in the country but travelling on Royal Brunei Airlines. I will also be avoiding booking other hotel properties owned by The Brunei Investment Agency which is a government-owned corporation that reports to the Ministry of Finance of the Government of Brunei. I feel it is important to support other MTA advisors, members of the travel industry and the community at large who are at risk from these new laws and to protest their introduction.

16.01.2022 Hot from the press New travel requirements to New Zealand. The New Zealand Government has introduced a new travel requirement for some visitors and transit passengers. Its called the NZeTA (New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority) and travellers need to request theirs via the official mobile app or website. ... You may also have to pay an International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL), which directly helps with New Zealands tourism. The primary purpose of introducing the NZeTA is to improve border security and prevent anyone who may pose a potential security risk from entering New Zealand. Approval can take up to 72 hours, so just like you would apply for a USA (ESTA), you will have to apply for yours in advance so as to avoid last minute hassles. The NZeTA is required for travel from 1 October 2019. Please note that the NZeTA is not a visa and doesnt guarantee entry to New Zealand. On arrival in New Zealand, travellers must still meet all existing entry requirements, such as holding an onward travel ticket and having sufficient funds.
