22.01.2022 Fiona has been able to do unassisted chin ups but wasn’t able to do an unassisted pull up. For the last few months Fiona had a goal of doing at least 1 unassisted pull up. Homework has been to do negative pull ups, hanging and engaging lats and using an assistance band. Plus other upper body and core work. ... Yesterday, as I do at the start of every session, I asked her to do as many chin ups as she can. Without thinking Fiona grabbed the bar in a pull up grip and completed (without any assistance) two pull ups and didn’t realise what she had done! What a machine! Hard work has paid off. Had to have a rest and get the camera out for attempt number two for evidence! Now to work towards the next big goal

You know, the part where you reach for your toes and hold the pose. That is not going to warm you up!! Instead give Dynamic Stretching a go. This is all about getting your heart beating and your muscles firing! Try this one: from standing position, alternate pulling each knee to your chest. Do this a few times, a...nd then start gently kicking each leg back and forth, one at a time. Gradually increase the speed.
