03.02.2022 Amazing luck.. I'd just posted the lost Boo notice when Jeremy from Devonport Electrical Service turned up the chek on the work his guys did on the new ladies and disabled toilet building.. so I opened the door to the ladies loo... and out walked Boo!! 20 hours stuck in a toilet, and guess what the first thing he did was? yup go find some grass and relieve himself All's well that ends well Thanks to all for your help and concern

29.01.2022 It's harvest time at Prickly Mo! The recent warm days have been ideal for ripening, so we begin picking on Monday. IMPORTANT MESSAGE, from Wine Tasmania after consultation with the State Government: "Agriculture and food production activities have been deemed essential, which has allowed vintage to continue."... This means our pickers CAN drive to the vineyard to help pick grapes, then drive home. This is a relief and great news for all of us at harvest time. Of course it is still critical to understand and comply with the social distancing and hygiene measures in the vineyard, and we will have procedures in place for this.

25.01.2022 32 weeks closed! Why so long? Council planning department, new building regulations, building survryors, waste water consultants, building designers ( currently onto our 6th) etc. Our revenue comes from cellar door sales 95% & sales to pubs etc. 5% How can a business survive for 32 ++ weeks on 5% of normal revenue? It can't! It's time to accept that Prickly Mo Cellar Door can't continue. This is hard to accept.. and I'm stubborn AND it would be such a waste!- so there's one ...last idea to try... Many of you may need to buy gifts for Christmas presents, or need wine for the festive season, so here's our offer: Buy any case of wine between now & NYE and receive 25% discount off RRP. Riesling, Pinot Gris, Sauv. Blanc, & the Bushranger Pinit Noir - normally $300 down to $225 a case. (That's $18.75 a bottle!) Chardonnay $360 down to $270 a case ($22.50 a bottle) Pinot Noir & Cabernet $396 down to $297 ($24.75 a bottle) Pay & collect from the cellar door between 12-4pm Sat. 15th Sun. 16th Sat. 22nd Sun 23rd Sat. 29th Sun 30th. Or we can take credit/debit cards over the phone & deliver (for a fee) Inbox us if you'd like to order. Cheers! See more

20.01.2022 Worth reading this to get an idea of how smoke can affect grapes, and therefore wine - and why it can be so frustrating for growers

19.01.2022 Signs of life still at Prickly Mo! We are pushing on, thanks to some case sales over Christmas, good sales at the Taste of the North West & the Forth Valley Blues festivals, and a Business Angel. The paperwork is almost complete, the plans are approved, most of the construction materials are on site ready to build our ladies toilet and unusex disabled toilet - so it's time to find a builder. (& plumber) If you are a builder, or if you know a builder that can fit a small... building into his schedule, we'd like to hear from you. Financing rules state we must get 3 quotes, so I've snapped one page of the drawings to give you an idea if the size of the toilet building. It will have 5 stalls, 3 hand basins and the disabled will have one toilet pan and one basin. Hopefully this is enough to work out if you are interested in the job. More complete drawings can be emailed. If you would like to quote, just inbox us. See more

12.01.2022 Ok, so licencing issue sorted. Customers can't collect from this property - but I can deliver, so it's all good to go. 25% off every carton - and YES we will do mixed cartons of 12 bottles. Thanks to those wonderful customers/supporters of the Mo who have already placed an order. We can organise direct debits to our account and then let me know where to deliver the wine. Riesling, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc & the Bushranger Pinot Noir $25 per bottle comes down to $18.75 C...hardonnay $30 becomes $22.50 2017 Pinot Noir & the Cabernet $33 will be $24.75 Cheers! 01.01.2022 Last weekend marked 26 weeks we've been closed... yep that's 6 months of not trading! How much longer you ask? Hard to say, but it's looking less and less likely we'll be open before Christmas. Thanks for all the messages of support from so many people. We'll keep you updated on progress.

01.01.2022 What are you doing tomorrow (Sunday)? Prickly Mo will be at Sheffield for the Taste Of The North West. This is probably the best food & beverages festival on the coast It runs from 11am to 6pm. Pete Cornelius & The Deviles are the headline act. Come along and say hello
