25.01.2022 "The GC Beach Workout" is on Sunday Week! SUNDAY 15th FEB The SUPER FREAK Beach Workout we ran in October last year at the Spit, Gold Coast (Images below) was one of 2014's highlights! So now, without a challenge, we want to run it AGAIN!... This great 2 hour beach workout is a stack of fun and registration is $20pp and it includes 1 x FREE Coconut Water to keep you cool and hydrated! We will commence our session at 7:30am at the Spit, Gold Coast. (Allow 80min travel time) Sunday 15th Feb. 21.01.2022 HEY LADIES! DUE TO EASTER AND THE UNDOUBTED TEMPTATIONS ASSOCIATED...WE WILL BE STARTING THE "CARTEL CHIKA 8 WEEK CHALLENGE" THE FOLLOWING WEEK!! SO OUR FIRST DAY of THE CHALLENGE ON MONDAY THE 6th of APRIL! Challenge finishes on the 30th of May. Awards presentation will take place the following week. (6th June)... SPECIAL NOTE: Challengers now have access to all training sessions on our timetable, not just 5 sessions a week. They can run their program from 5am...existing members will have their membership payments suspended during the challenge.

16.01.2022 5am? That's Sumo Deadlift time, yeah? These soldiers are here 5am every morning dedicating their first precious hours to improving themselves, physically and mentally. You see, it's not just the training...but the discipline of being in the gym at such early hours. Hats off to them. "Just take both feet out of bed, place them on the floor...the rest will take care of itself. In 30min you'll be on the rower warming up."

13.01.2022 Last year I wrote an article on the "trainwithpride.com.au" website about why (as people training out of Gym Cartel) someone should register and compete in the CrossFit Open...we had a good response. Later in the year we attempted to become an affiliate. However, due to the said article, Crossfit HQ refused our application and what's more advised prompt legal action would be taken unless the (pro-CF) article was removed from our website. We were, evidently, in breach of an in...ternational treaty protecting the name of CrossFit by advertising them (and not us) by promoting their Open (and not our gym). Just like the Spartan Race, a local marathon, a weightlifting tournament, an amateur boxing bout, a wedding, etc., etc., the CF Open is an excellent event to help our members create a goal and to train for. So, as our members are our NUMBER ONE interest and not CF...the question remains, "how do I encourage our members to register for the CF Open without infringing trademarks?" http://games.crossfit.com/team/7270 See more
