They can: help you build a sense of belonging and self worth give you an opportunity to share positive experiences provide emotional support and allow you to support others Our outdoor classes and small group training are a PERFECT way to get some social interaction in during these restricted times 2 BE PHYSICALLY ACTIVE Being active is amazing for your physical health and fitness but also improves your mental wellbeing! physical activity raises your self esteem helps you to set goals and challenges you to achieve them causes chemical changes in your brain which can positively change your mood While our doors are closed we are SUPER fortunate to be running outdoor training sessions which is a perfect way to keep active during lockdown 3 LEARN NEW SKILLS Research shows that learning new skills can also improve your wellbeing by boosting self confidence and raising self esteem helping you build a sense of purpose helping you connect with others What new skill are you going to try? Perhaps try cooking one of our healthy recipes? 4 GIVE TO OTHERS Research suggests that acts of giving and kindness and help improve your mental wellbeing by: creating positive feelings and a sense of reward giving you a feeling of purpose and self worth helping you connect with other people It could be small acts of kindness towards other people, or larger ones like volunteering in your local community 5 PAY ATTENTION TO THE PRESENT MOMENT, PRACTISE MINDFULNESS Paying more attention to the present moment can improve your mental wellbeing. This includes your thoughts and feelings, your body and the world around you. There are so many apps you can download to practise mindfulness such as Smiling Mind or tag along to one of our Oxigeno classes that incorporates yoga and pilates allowing the mind to connect with the inner self, reaching a state of peace and serenity



20.01.2022 ... AND WE’RE BACK! You have probably heard the exciting news! As of Tuesday the 27th October at 11:59pm gyms in regional Victoria are OPEN! Woohoo We are SO excited to open our doors and welcome back all of your smiling faces! ... To keep our community safe and healthy and ensure OUR DOORS REMAIN OPEN the following policies will be put in place: Group Fitness classes are capped at 10 and are required to book through our Gym Master app Maximum of 20 members in the facility at any given time Pick up a sanitizer bottle on your way in and ensure to wipe equipment down before and after use No towel, no workout We encourage our members to workout for no longer than 1 hour at a time You are not required to wear your mask during physical activity, but we advise that you keep it on you and have it easily accessible See you Wednesday! 20.01.2022 BIG BIRTHDAY SHOUTOUT TO ARYAN SINGH! Aryan was hanging out to be able to join his Dad Mum and Brother at Primal! And in late July he got his wish when his mum and dad gave him an early birthday surprise and signed him up! Young Aryan was wrapped to get in and get a program from Scotty Silverback! Then lockdown hit and Aryan had to put his birthday pressie on hold. Not for too much longer we hope! So Happy Birthday Aryan! We are honoured your birthday wish was to become a Primate and we hope you have a Ripper Day!

20.01.2022 GROUP FITNESS IS BACK!... sort of - maybe -nearly normal - hang in there! Starting next week our Outdoor Group Fitness Timetable is up. Our plan is to add more classes each week as they fill up so don't suffer FOMO, all you need to do is use your app to sign up for a class and your membership will restart. Not a current member no stress register online and we will get you started ! https://primalhealthclub.com.au If all our classes fill up next week I will add more straight ...away. Support us and I will make it happen. We are calling this next phase of Lockdown - Our gym pre-season Let's go Primates, Scotty and Team Primal Make sure you have access via the Portal. Group fitness memberships will be $15.95 per week, no suspensions permitted. 1. Visit the App store: Gym Master Member 2. Download the App 3. Use the email address associated with your membership (The address you received this email on) as your username 4. Password is your mobile phone number associated with your membership 5. Click on Bookings and pick the class you want to book in for 6. You can only book classes 7 days ahead. Eg a class running on the 8th of June will not become available until the 1st for making a booking 7. You cannot book a class within 12 hours of its start time. For eg Tuesday 6am class cannot be booked at 7pm Monday night 8. Our classes will have a maximum of 10 people per class 9. You cannot cancel a class 12 hours prior to using the Portal. So many of you are so excited to get back into the classes which is awesome, we will have strict policies about not showing up. Sport and fitness are important for our mental health and community spirit! So no matter who you usually barrack for pick a team watch the game and yell your arse off! We are still here! 14.01.2022 PRIMAL PRESS RELEASE: G'day Primates you can see lockdown version 2 has not been kind to Scotty (step away from the cakes and up the cardio big boy!!!!) Anyway, As of midnight, regional VIC moves into 3rd Step Restrictions, which do not allow gyms to reopen. We are disappointed by the Government's decision and struggle to see the logic behind it. ... Those of you that are in businesses which are reopening we wish you all the best of luck and success when you kick your doors open. Great news! For our members and the wider community thank you for your ongoing support. We are waiting patiently, however a little frustrated to reopen the doors and welcome you back. Take care, Team Primal

13.01.2022 SENIOR SPECIAL Pictured is one of our very special members who has been apart of the Primal Community since 2017 - Kevin Mayne. To honor the Victorian Senior Citizens Festival that is set to run each October but will unfortunately not this year due to COVID19, we decided to interview our beloved Kev, aged 83. When asked what Kev loves most here at Primal he answered in less than a second "all the friendly faces." Primal is truly a community like no other. Kev stated he h...as been to a few different gyms in his time but the level of respect and the genuine care at Primal is a totally different ball game. Kev loves that the staff looks after all the members including himself! Regularly checking up on him and educating him on how to complete his exercise program safely. We then asked what Kev misses most about not being able to come to Primal. He misses the ability to exercise in a safe place and stick to his routine which overall helps him feel better. He equally misses the community vibe and social interaction that comes along with being a member here at Primal. I didn’t know anyone there, but now I know everyone. There is a group of us that do a program together on a Monday and have a coffee for half an hour or so afterward. You feel so good after! However, during the lockdown, it has been very difficult for Kev to keep active and healthy. Kev has found it hard to keep active without access to a safe place that is equipped with necessary equipment as well as adequate support. Kev stated that the footpaths around town are not very safe for walking, particularly at the age of 83. We finished off our interview by asking Kev why he believes it is important to come to Primal. For my health. And all aspects of his health too. Since joining Primal his social health has improved as he is now apart of a community where he is able to call both the staff and the members his friends. Of course, his physical health has improved at Primal with all the incredible benefits that come along with regular exercise. And even his mental health too - sometimes you get a little bit tired after some exercise, but you always just feel so good after." Good on you Kev! You are an absolute legend and an inspiration to many
