24.01.2022 Current macros at maintenance level to support hormones and training. Too often I see people jump straight into a calorie deficit then wonder why their training suffers and for females, why they battle so hard with monthly cravings. It doesn’t have to be this way. Don’t deprive the body of nutrients just to be in a calorie deficit. You don’t need a calorie deficit to drop body fat, you just need to cut the alcohols and sugar binges on the weekends. Don’t overtrain to co...mpensate for your crappy diet. I am currently only training 3-4x a week and I’m using it as a supplement, not as a staple. You shouldn’t need to train to drop body fat... your diet isn’t right if you’re doing it this way. My sessions are 2x 1hr Stronger classes and 1-2x tempo sessions (30min intervals on bike or rower). If you’re already eating clean whole foods, ensure your carb sources are coming from vegetables or for athletes; white rice (which is friendlier on the gut than brown rice). Get rid of the milks and yoghurts and sweet hits from high fructose fruit. The more you have, the more you want. If you want to cut sugar, then CUT IT! Don’t let it linger in your diet in the disguise of ‘healthy’ snacks. Get rid if it for a while until you’ve broken your reliance on it. There are a lot of ‘don’ts’ above but this is just my opinion from personal experience. DO eat whole foods, DO vary your vegetables seasonally, DO swap your proteins around, DO eliminate packaged and processed foods and learn to cook from scratch, DO roam barefoot, DO get plenty of sunlight to regulate hormones, DO get 8-9 hours sleep in a completely blacked out room, DO drink ill ahem rich bone broth, DO limit toxic people and environments, DO try to keep a healthy work/life balance, DO talk to someone if you need to about any of the above and more. #primal #primallife #primallifept #paleo #strongernowra @ Stronger See more

20.01.2022 This is an extreme example, but my point is: listen to your body. Normal for me lately is having some ice cream on a Saturday night or enjoying a dinner out with friends. Last weekend however, was well over the top and far from my normal and my body let me know about it. Usually my body doesn’t react to this extent from a pint of ice cream, but it did with 10x that amount. ... I highly recommend a food intolerance test to everyone (If you’re local, Pete from GoVita does it), but even if you don’t have a test done ... you can read the signs you’re body is showing. A normal day of food for me is: BRUNCH - lamb or chicken, eggs, cheese, kale, beetroot, carrots, avocado, sour cream, salt. DINNER - beef, eggs, greens, cabbage, butter white rice, sauerkraut, salt. @ Primal Life

18.01.2022 Got so much done in my one hour break between clients this morning ... 1) made 4L of chicken broth ... 2) zucchini, carrot & sweet potato frittata ... 3) chopped ingredients for soup, which I'll make in tomorrow's break ... 4) cooked starches for dinner & tomorrow's lunches 1) Chicken Broth: 3x free range chicken carcasses (from food prep on the weekend), ends of carrots, celery leaves, onion, garlic, thyme, salt & pepper, water & apple cider vinegar. Into the pressure c...ooker for 2x40min cycles. 2) Frittata: grated carrots, zucchini & sweet potato. Whisk up 20 eggs & 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Line dish with melted coconut oil.
