25.01.2022 The Kettlebell is a must have in my gym equipment essentials. It would also have the be my favourite piece of equipment to use next to the sled. These babies come in a range of different weight sizes, so can be used by anyone no matter what your strength or fitness level is. One of my favourite exercises to do using these is the Heavy Farmers Carry. Holding 30% - 35% of your bodyweight, set up two cones 10m apart and walk between them for a total of 3 mins resting/dropping ...them as little as possible. This exercise is a winner for improving grip strength and upper body stability through the shoulders. if you have seen them around and wondered what you can do with them, give this one a try at the end of you workout and see how you go. Happy Training

21.01.2022 Improve you Grip, Forearm and Upper Body strength with one little accessory that is sure to help pack on muscle. These bad boys are rarely spoken about but if you have ever used them, than you know just as well as I do that they are an amazing accessory (for men and women) to add to your lifts. I am referring to FAT GRIPZ. These come in 2 sizes and are amazing for recruiting the muscles in the forearm and upper body essential for stability and assisting the larger muscles. T...hese cost approximately $30 but are well worth the investment if strength and stability is one of your main goals. Tip: When using these you WILL need to DROP your weight a little as your grip is completely different to a normal grip when these aren't used. Happy Training

19.01.2022 In a previous post I mentioned that I was changing the look of Primal Strength. As part of the change i also said that I was going to be doing a blog of My CF story for a couple of reasons. 1. To share my experiences with you and give you a little insight into what it is like to live with CF 2. To create a little extra awareness of CF, and support others that may be affected by this illness which also includes parents, siblings and of course the CF patient themselves. 3. T...o show that no matter what you experience in life excuses are just holding you back and you need to be the one to take control of your life and not be held back by life and the curve balls it throws your way. Here is my very first blog post about "My CF Story". Please have a read if you're interested and let me know your thoughts. Cheers Adam Happy Training

16.01.2022 Here's a quick full body finisher for to try. There is no need to go ridiculously heavy with the weight BUT you do need a weight that is challenging. 2 Rounds Barbell Complex 10 x Deadlifts ... 10 x Bent Over Rows 10 x Hang Cleans 10 x Overhead Press 10 x Back Squats Complete each exercise back to back with no rest until you get to the end of the round. This is a burner and will definitely give you challenge. I completed it this morning using 30kgs after my upperbody training and felt great once completed. Happy Training

14.01.2022 An effective progression of an exercise is often over thought and most go straight to lifting heavier weight and give up some technique as a trade off. Progressing a workout does not need to be rocket science . My favourite way to overload an exercise is with a simple RESISTANCE BAND. These usually come in a variety of resistances and be used in so many different ways, such as increasing muscle mass to rehab work. Dont overlook the bad boys, (they should be a staple in your... gym bag) and if you have one I recommend you start using it during your workouts... Happy Training

13.01.2022 As someone in the the fitness Industry it is essential to know how to apply first aid at any moment. You never know when injury can occur. You are never to early to learn check out my youngest daughter Penelope already giving CPR a try. ... Happy Training

12.01.2022 Today I had my yearly review with my specialist team for my Cystic Fibrosis. Turns out my lung function is better than it was 12 months. Just goes to show that if you do the right stuff things can always improve. If you have the dedication and motivation to improve yourself, you can succeed in doing just that. Alot of numbers to look at but the most important one is the 91.1% lung function.

12.01.2022 If your have sore hips or sore low back you definitely need to give this stretch a try. It's one of my favourites when I'm feeling tight. The band adds a deeper stretch, but you can still get an effective stretch without the band if you dont have one. Give it a try next time your feeling tight and see how you feel after it. ... Note: This stretch is not comfortable but you do feel amazing after it. Happy Training

11.01.2022 Strength comes in many different forms. It's not just about how much weight you can lift. Its realising you are capable of doing whatever you set your mind to. Strength is about being able to push your limits. It's about lifting others up. It's being able to define your own set of standards. Strength is not just a physical display, It is emotional, spiritual and mental as well. We all have that strength inside of us BUT we need each other to unlock it. Remember your are always "Stronger than Yesterday" Happy Training

09.01.2022 Primal Strength has a new look. Over the past few months I have been spending time in making Primal Strength a better version of its original self. As part of the change, I have a new logo, a website (due to be finalised in the coming weeks) and two blogs. The blogs will include one which is dedicated to giving you fitness tips and ideas and the second is my story about living with Cystic Fibrosis and how I tried to live a normal life as much as possible. Stay tuned for mor...e updates as they finish, but first off here is my new logo. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks Adam, Happy Training

05.01.2022 "You can only train as hard as you recover!" This means that enhancing performance, building muscle, or even getting stronger is a very delicate balance of training VS. recovery. Beleive it or not training makes you "WEAKER" and in the recovery is where the magic happens and the muscles grow. Dont be that person who refuses to take a break because you don't want to miss out. Take the time to recover and you will be sure to have long term success.... Happy Training

04.01.2022 Jump over and have a chat with Kareena from Ph@tt (Putting Health at The Top) about staying in control of your health and nutrition this "silly season" Happy Training
