21.01.2022 UPDATE At the August 2019 AT Mutual Opportunities Lunch we got behind Sam Carter and his quest to bring home the gold from Tokyo in 2020. Sam recently competed ...in the World Championships in Dubai and has now qualified for Tokyo which will be his second Olympics. After finishing with fourths in both the 100m (by 0.02 seconds) and, unexpectedly, in the 400m as well, training is being kicked into overdrive now and for the next 8 months to give Sam the best possible opportunity to be on the podium in Tokyo. We wish Sam all the best and I am certain he will be able to achieve this goal! One of the issues people face in business is not knowing if the advice they are paying for from their professional advisors is good, bad or otherwise. I can help clarify this. I have encountered numerous situations where business owners have mistakenly thought that their advisors were across everything only to find out that there was flawed advice being given, opportunities for financial gain completely missed and their affairs being generally mismanaged. I was very impressed when I arrived at the venue an hour be...fore the event started to see people who were attending the lunch arriving early to have meetings with other attendees. This shows that the concept really works and that people are using the events to grow their networks and businesses. 06.01.2022 Lets be honest. There are times when you have thought to yourself, I wish things were different. I wish I was treated better. I wish that life wasnt so soul-...wrenching. Usually in such situations, you would have noticed that a lot of negative energy has made its way into your life and is engulfing you. You tend to endure more stress, more sickness, and less opportunity over the course of your life in such situations. All your positivity is drained out of you due to negative influences in your life. So, how do you get out of this? Often it is the work we do and the people we surround ourselves with that are the root cause of our negativity. A way to change this is to find a new job, or to open up to a network of better suited, like-minded people who are focused on positive change. Although negative and positive thoughts will always exist, the key to becoming positive is to limit the amount of negativity that we experience by filling ourselves up with more positivity. Of course, getting yourself out of a situation such as this is often hard. But you have to start somewhere if you are to become the person you were meant to be. Unsure where that starting point is? 02.01.2022 Was speaking to someone yesterday who had the following experience when they called their accountant to enquire why something had not been done after they had b...een contacted by the ATO. When they called and asked why this hadn't been done and if they could speak to someone who had the ability to rectify this they were hit with: "It is your fault that it wasn't done and it isn't our job to follow you up to make sure you meet your obligations" and "It is July, there's nobody here. Everyone is on holidays" This is Z-grade service and completely unacceptable. This business must make a few obvious adjustments if it is to flourish. As far as the client goes, they're meeting with a couple of different people this week to find a home where they'll be properly looked after!
