25.01.2022 Calling all Dads and Dads-to-be, join me on my Free Online Mini-Workshop, Parenting: Taking An All Perspectives Approach, 10.00am 10.30am Thursday May 28 https://www.facebook.com/events/1907841536016612/ In every moment and situation, we actively make meaning from what is happening around us and inside us. Four perspectives or ways of viewing the world (my inner experience, what I do, how we relate and how we engage) influence how we make meaning. This determines our way... of relating with others and how we respond to parenting situations. Our children are constantly modelling and learning from us, so the meaning we bring to parenting situations and therefore how we show up is critical to our childs development, to their own sense of self. Learning to integrate an all perspectives approach to parenting, will support you to support your childs development. It is a resource that will help you to communicate and relate in ways that can profoundly change your parenting experience. Click on the event link above to find out more. See more

24.01.2022 Are you holding back from stepping into your big scary dreams? What holds you back? Stepping into your potential can feel risky and vulnerable, right? Thats the tension between being moved by a real sense of purpose and the need to feel safe. So, what feels unsafe? Often it is our orientation towards how we want to or feel we need to be seen by others. In doing this we are informing who we take ourselves to be from the outside-in. Living from a place of purpose, towards creating what matters most to us, we begin to define ourselves from the inside-out, we author our own sense of identity, we step into our authenticity. We reveal our true strengths and gifts and can share them with the world. This takes courage and patience, letting go of our fear of failure and rejection, as we learn to realise that we are so much more.

Please share this post with those you feel will find this topic relevant.... Click on the above link to register. Learn: What is perfectionism and how to identify it. When striving is healthy and when it isnt Why letting go of our need for external validation is key to embracing imperfection Why embracing mistakes as learning opportunities is a game changer in work and parenting

24.01.2022 https://www.redleafstudio.com.au//embracing-the-power-of-i How does the fear of making mistakes show up in your life? Do you find yourself judging your self-worth based on your ability to strive and achieve unrelenting standards? How often do those three little words with such a big impact chime up - not good enough? Theres a big difference between healthy striving in the pursuit of excellence and the endless uphill battle of striving for perfection. When we expect per...fection from ourselves and others in parenting and work, we are telling our kids and co-workers that mistakes are not ok, that our self-worth is dependent on our achievements and how others perceive us. Embracing imperfection is the pathway to authentic parenting and leadership. It starts when we begin to recognise that our authentic value is within us and cannot be defined or shaped from the outside. Only when we realise that the constant pursuit of perfection is an impossible task, that perfection in fact doesnt exist, can we embrace and be guided by imperfection, as the constant evolution and growth of our potential. That is the undeniable power of imperfection. Welcome to my Parents Leading mini-workshop series topic: Embracing the Power of Imperfection. 24.01.2022 Introducing our next FREE online Mini-workshop - Managing Conflict Positively Thursday October 29, 7:30pm - 8:00pm RSVP: https://www.redleafstudio.com.au//managing-conflict-positi Manage conflict positively by:... Discovering & understanding your native conflict style Learning how & why different personalities react in distinctive ways when facing conflict Learning how to develop the flexibility required to positively engage & interact with different conflict styles Conflict is a part of our everyday. Too much conflict creates fear and distrust, too little stifles innovation and creativity. Avoiding conflict, depletes our vital energy, forward momentum and often appears masked as a lack of engagement, passive-aggressive behaviour, resentment and frustration. When we experience conflict, our personality structures often get in the way. We feel frustrated because the other person doesn’t see things the same way we do, we communicate on different wavelengths experiencing the world through different lenses. Managing conflict positively empowers us to increase our understanding of each other and move forward in a way that benefits everyone. It is required for effective leadership, parenting, partnering and relating. #Leadership #ManagingConflict

23.01.2022 One big priority that is all too often glossed over with working parents is paying attention to our own needs’. It’s usually the first thing that drops in order... for parents to sustain the constant work-family-relationship juggle. Does this happen with you? Do you struggle to prioritise time to re-energise and reconnect with what’s important to you? In my experience, many parents often find it hard to articulate their needs, they’ve neglected them for so long? I know that was the case for me.I was so busy trying to meet everybody else’s needs. The thing I realised, was that by neglecting my own needs and not re-energising, I was teaching my kids and co-workers to do the same. It certainly wasn’t an efficient or effective way of working or parenting. Have you ever asked yourself what stops you from prioritising self-care? What is the positive intention of saving it for another day? What do you suppose might happen if you started paying more attention to your own needs? In the haste of the daily juggle, what would you like to start paying more attention to?

22.01.2022 We live in a cultural age that values positivity, and so permitting ourselves to acknowledge and experience difficult emotions can feel vulnerable. Yet paradoxically, paying attention to and bringing acceptance to our internal experience - leaning into emotional discomfort, is a pathway to a more balanced and peaceful existence. https://www.redleafstudio.com.au//parenting-communicating- What do you do to divert your attention away from difficult emotions? When we permit our...selves the experience and acceptance of all emotions, we gain powerful information on how we are living our lives, the decisions we make, and how we are connecting and relating with others. We learn and practice the skills of expressing difficult emotions wisely, and we bring empathy and compassion to both ourselves and others when these emotions arise. When we bring emotional awareness to our communicating and relating, we become the mirror through which our children and loved ones learn emotional awareness and acceptance. If youd like to bring more emotional awareness to your parenting and communicating, come and join me and other parents at my Free Online Mini-Workshop Parenting & Communicating with Emotional Awareness #Parenting #Relationships

Thursday 29th October 7:30pm - 8:00pm AEST RSVP: https://www.redleafstudio.com.au//managing-conflict-positi For most of us interpersonal conflict carries strong negative connotations we feel a sense of danger it’s going to hurt our relationships, maybe end them, we’re going to be rejected, cut-off in some way. So mostly we avoid conflict, which paradoxically makes the encounter and confrontation worse, because we leave it until it becomes large and unmanageable. The most resourceful way of managing conflict is to address a situation when the issue, or problem is manageable. However, this approach is a skill that remains in short supply today most of us lacking the confidence and awareness to approach conflict constructively. Managing conflict positively enables us to troubleshoot relational problems. Developing this skill however starts with understanding our own conflict style, seeing that different personalities adopt different conflict styles each with their own gifts and challenges. By integrating the strengths of our own conflict style with the gifts of the others, we can learn to navigate interpersonal conflict with confidence and grace. If you’d like to know more, come along to my mini-workshop on Managing Conflict Positively by: Discovering and understanding your native conflict style Learning how and why different personalities react in distinctive ways when facing conflict Developing flexibility and strategies to positively engage and interact with different personalities
