25.01.2022 It has been a busy but fruitful week with plenty of enquiries on our yearlings. Im really thrilled with our two year old team of horses. We have had five to the races of the eleven I purchased last year with them performing way above the average for the industry. Zizzis is unbeaten and won the Adelaide Magic Millions 2YO Classic. Our Long Sali won the Tasmanian Magic Millions 2YO Classic at only her second start. Everard has been placed at Randwick and Canterbury in onl...y three starts and Golden Script was placed 3rd on debut last week at Sandown. These horses were not expensive yearlings but are good competitive racehorses. This weekend we have two runners competing in stakes races. Raido heads to Toowoomba to run in the time honoured Weetwood Handicap and Black and Tan runs in the Listed Laelia Stakes in Adelaide. The good thing about these horses is that they are spread amongst our trainers with John Moloney, Patrick Payne, Stuart Gandy, Tony Gollan, Kris lees and Darren Weir training one each. Check out the yearlings we have on offer at primethoroughbreds.com.au Enjoy the weekend and lets hope the Australian team do very well at the Commonwealth Games.

24.01.2022 Im looking forward to our runners over the next few days starting with Reneged today at Randwick. He loves soft going and is fully fit after a couple of runs this preparation. Tye Angland rides him which is also a big plus. On Wednesday we have the stakes placed filly Casa De Lago heading to Sandown, Chalmers at Warwick Farm and Adocarr running in Toowoomba with that meeting being transferred from Doomben. Next Saturday we may well have Husson Eagle at Moonee Valley and A...nnaman running at Morphettville. It is a good effort to have six runners in metropolitan grade races spread across four states. I was thrilled on Saturday with our bonny mare Hussys Glow winning again. She is a ripper and always gives 100%. She now gets her chance at Flemington on 23 June in a heat of the Leilani Series. In other positive news our two very good two year old fillies Zizzis and Golden Script are back in work being prepared for the Melbourne Spring. Exciting stuff. Look at out three babies we have spelling at Ascot Park near Pitt Town in NSW. Our next wave of Prime stars.

24.01.2022 Im really looking forward to tomorrows Caulfield meeting where we have three of our horses running in big races. Our first runner is the highly promising two year old filly Golden Script who is favourite for the $300,000 Vobis Sires. I purchased her at the 2017 Tasmanian Magic Millions Sale and she is by Woodside Parks talented sire Written Tycoon. Darren Weir trains this filly. Next up is Husson Eagle who joined the $1 million Club last start and he looks a good each ...way chance in the Listed Bel Esprit Stakes. Patrick Payne trains this favourite of mine. Finally another $1 million plus earner Flying Jess runs in the Anniversay Handicap. She is trained by John Moloney. Husson Eagle and Flying Jess are the only two horses running at Caulfield tomorrow with earnings in excess of $1 million. These two talented gallopers only cost $102,500 to purchase and have returned $2,420,548. Not a bad hobby for the owners of these two nice horses. I have a couple of shares remaining in the Shooting To Win filly with john Moloney. Check her out: https://vimeo.com/251374486 primethoroughbreds.com.au

22.01.2022 Good afternoon, I remember when I purchased the first yearling to be syndicated by Prime Thoroughbreds with Patrick Payne. He was a cracking colt by Husson and... he went on to race as Husson Eagle. Patrick hadnt been training for long and I struggled to syndicate him and wondered if I would ever get him done. I did and the rest is history. Over the next three years I purchased Patrick six more yearlings. Look at what he has done with them. Including Husson Eagle he has managed to get all seven to the races with six winning. These horses were moderately priced with the total spend being $339,500 for a modest average purchase price of $48,500. The total stakes money won by the seven horses is $1,516,136 with five of the seven still in our racing team. They have won 19 races to date. This afternoon saw Honolulu Lass win her second race this preparation and tonight Casa De Lago runs in the Tasmanian 1000 Guineas where she is currently second favourite and coming off two impressive wins. On Saturday Husson Eagle ran a close second in the Kensington Stakes at Flemington which just happened to be the highest rating race run in Australia for the day. Patricks results are no fluke. He has received nice horses to train from Prime Thoroughbreds with the job he has done with them being exceptional. He gives us 150% effort all the time and he knows his horses inside out. We have two very nice two year olds with him and I purchased him a stunning filly at the Gold Coast by Wandjina. Click on the video of her to see just how nice a filly she is. LOT 811: https://vimeo.com/251297432 She has been very well received with full details of her are available on our website. She is filling up quickly so give me a call or check her out at our website: primethoroughbreds.com.au Joe ONeill 0433762700

21.01.2022 Welcome to May and plenty of action on the track. This Saturday we have Savoureux lining up in the Listed Silk Stocking at the Gold Coast Turf Club, Wategos Beach in the Listed Queen Adelaide Stakes at Morphettville as well as Husson Eagle and Black And Tan at Flemington. Over the next three weeks we should have about 20 of our team running in various races around Australia with runners in NSW, Victoria, Queensland and South Australia. This is a good effort considering we o...nly have 25 horses in work. Our two year olds are starting to arrive with Black And Tan, Wategos Beach, Kaera Jaani, Kissing Game, Casa De Lago and Zelzignoret due to hit the track over the next 10 days. Good luck to our owners as we head towards the end of the 2016/17 Season. We will be selling Awasita, Hijack Hussy and Strike For Victory at the Magic Millions Gold Coast National Sale in late May early June. Hijack Hussy and Awasita are expected to fetch good money with Strike For Victory a wild card with her recent pedigree upgrade with her 3/4 brother Debellatio winning at Group 3 level and being placed at Group 2 level.

21.01.2022 Once again we have taken on ther big boys and come out on top with Zizzis winning the 2018 Adelaide Magic Millions Two Year Old Classic, South Australias riche...st race for two year olds. This daughter of Sizz;ing is unbeaten in two starts and now heads to sydney to run in the ATC Group 3 Kindergarten Stakes on Doncaster Day. Our two year old team of just 13 is starting to make big waves with Zizzis joining Our Long Sali as a 2018 Magic Millions winner. Our Long Sali was simply brilliant winning the Tasmanian Magic Millions Two Year Old Classic a couple of weeks ago. I am very proud of the fact I have purchased more Magic Millions winners than anyone else in Australia. Our record of eight wins is a great advertisement for our selection methods and management of our horses. I purchased two more fillies from todays Adelaide Magic Milions Sale. These are a Hinchinbrook filly for Darren Weir and a Sizzling filly for Patrick Payne. We have some stunning yearlings on offer. Check them out at: primethoroughbreds.com.au Enjoy your week.

20.01.2022 I rounded out our purchases from the Inglis Classic Sale securing a stunning Rubick filly out of the good producing mare Senro Kisaki, the dam of two to race, both winners including five time Hong Kong winner Victory Marvel. This filly is also a 1/2 sister to our Sizzling two year old named Zizzis who is not far off racing. Patrick Payne will train the filly. Patrick trains Zizzis and he has a very good opinion of her and was keen for me to purchase this Rubick filly.... I will have the information on the filly up on my site once I have the promotion approved. Here is a photo of her.

19.01.2022 We have a very important weekend coming up with the Magic Millions Guineas winner Flying Jess resuming at Caulfield for John Moloney. The high class mare will be ridden by Jordan Childs who won the SA Sires Produce Stakes on her. This is the start of an ambitious campaign and with her in good shape for her return to the track. On Sunday we have Casa De Lago running in the Listed Strutt Stakes in Hobart with Jordan Childs heading down for the ride. One of Jordans first big... wins was on Rumeron in the Tasmanian Magic millions Three Year Old Classic and he has ridden plenty of winners for us including Husson Eagle and Invincible Al. Our other runners this week are likely to be Zelsignoret at Sandown and Magic Anna at the Gold Coast. Next Wednesday sees Our Long Sali lining up in the Tasmanian Magic Millions Two Year Old Classic with Craig Newitt booked to ride her. I head to the Classic Sale tomorrow and look forward to inspecting yearlings at the Inglis Riverside Stables at Warwick Farm. Our Magic Millions yearlings are filling up quickly with just 5% of the Dissident filly available, 10% of the Wandjina filly and 40% of the Shooting To Win remaining. These are three great fillies. Enjoy your racing and I hope you back a winner.

18.01.2022 It's that time of the week where we take you inside the world of horse racing and this week our host, Ben Carbonaro, chats with Prime Thoroughbreds Pty Ltd Foun...der and Managing Director, Joe O'Neill. Audio- https://open.spotify.com/episode/59gsG3UC0biQzsj7D5MclQ Joe sat down with Ben at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale to talk about racing and how he became involved in the industry. Sit down, get comfy and enjoy this week's episode of The Chat.

18.01.2022 Great story on Breednet.com.au about Prime Thoroughbreds. Im very proud of our achievements. Prime Thoroughbreds Hit $6 Million Milestone Breednet - Media Release - Friday, 2 June 2017... When the I Am Invincible filly Not Surprising broke her maiden on Friday afternoon at Taree for Prime Thoroughbreds, she became the 49th individual winner of the 61 (80% winners to runners) yearlings purchased by Joe ONeill in 2012,13,14 and 15. We have four three year olds that are still racing but are yet to break their maiden. These horses are Chastity Strikes, Montana Pines, Honolulu Lass and Quirion. I would like to think the four are capable of winning. 59 of the 61 (96%)got to the races. This is an exceptional effort and I believe unmatched by any of our competitors. These 61 yearlings cost $3,515,625 to purchase for an average of $57,633.19. The 59 to race have now returned $6,009,845 in stakes money with 22 of them still in our racing team including some very valuable horses including the Group winners Flying Jess and Savoureux, Stakes winner Husson Eagle, Stakes placed Hussys Glow and a host of metropolitan class horses. This week two of our mares from these crops sold for $600,000 with Hijack Hussy ($400,000) and Awasita ($200,000) being great money spinners for their owners. While not every horse will return a profit for their owners it is nice to know that there is a reasonable chance of getting something back after enjoying racing your horse. I expect that from stakes money and sales proceeds we should top $10,000,000 by the time these horses complete their racing lives. Already we have passed $7,500,000 which is a great advertisement not only for our company but also for the Licensed Syndication section of our industry. Not Surprising is pictured below as a yearling. She was a $120,000 MM purchase from Yarraman Park. I am very proud of our results with them being the product of plenty of hard work which includes a thorough selection process, excellent breaking and spelling system and the employment of a group of outstanding trainers to guide our horses through their careers. We have some exciting times ahead with a highly promising team of two year olds starting to hit their straps supported by the highest profile group of yearlings I have ever assembled.

18.01.2022 With only 12 days remaining in the 2016/17 Racing Season Prime Thoroughbreds is set to have runners in NSW, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland and Tasmania. we have had a remarkable season with the obvious highlight being the win by Flying Jess in the Magic Millions $2 million Gold Coast Guineas. Our likely runners heading forward towards 1 August are:... Friday 21/07 Tough Vic Geelong Saturday 22/07 Annaman, Hussys Glow Morphettville, Invincible Al Flemington Wednesday 26/07 Montana Pines Ipswich Thursday 27/07 Not Surprising Newcastle Friday 28/07 Quirion Ballina Saturday 29/07 Savoureux Doomben, Reneged Caulfield, Isthmian Gosford These 10 horses were purchased for $573,000 and have won 27 races and earned $1,083,225 in stakes money with plenty more to come I would expect. Good luck to these ten runners.

17.01.2022 We have a massive week ahead starting with the 2018 Tasmanian Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Our Long Sali resuming in Hobart as she heads towards the Tasman...ian Sires Produce Stakes. On Monday the 2018 Adelaide Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Zizzis has her final lead up into the SAJC Breeders Stakes on 28 April in Adelaide. Next Saturday the 2016 Magic Millions $1 million Sprint winner Husson Eagle lines up in the Bel Esprit Stakes at Caulfield. At the same meeting the 2017 Magic Millions $2 million winner Flying Jess runs in the Anniversary Handicap and Golden Script is set to run in the $300,000 Vobis Sires. What a great advertisement for our company. We may well have won seven 2yo races since 15 February with just 5 of our 13 2yos having raced by this time next Saturday. Check out our yearling syndications at: primethoroughbreds.com.au

15.01.2022 It is always an exciting time of the year when the first of our two year olds are ready to go to the track. This morning at Moonee Valley Five Star Girl had her final hit out before lining up in the $250,000 Inglis Banner at the track on Saturday. She is a stunning filly by Epaulette and was purchased from the Inglis Classic Sale for $170,000. She is trained by John Moloney who trains Flying Jess as well. She will be ridden by Brenton Avdulla on Saturday. ... She is the first of the 15 yearlings I offered from the 2015 crop of yearlings. These youngsters have gone through our system and I am thrilled with their progress. Good luck to her on Saturday. Attached is the video of her I did when I purchased her. Lets see how correct I was!!! https://vimeo.com/203664261

15.01.2022 8 July 2017 is shaping as a big day for the Prime Team with as many as three runners contesting the rich Finals Day at Flemington. Husson Eagle, Hussys Glow and Invincible Al will be nominated for the $150,000 Listed All Victorian Sprint Series Final, $120,000 Rivette Series Final and the $120,000 Listed Creswick Series Final. These three horses are trained by Patrick Payne and the combined purchase price for them was just $109,500. To date they have earned $1,210,468 wit...h potentially another $228,000 on offer next Saturday. If Husson Eagle wins next Saturday he will take his stakes earnings past $1 million. Not a bad hobby!!!

14.01.2022 Today the focus is certainly on Flemington where Winter Finals Day sees an attractive card of racing. Prime Thoroughbreds will be represented by Hussys Glow in the Rivette Series Final for three years old fillies. She is nicely drawn and comes off a nice run at Sandown over 1600m where she worked home strongly. She has a nice draw and Brad Rawiller takes the ride. She looks over the odds to me in early markets. Invincible Al is well in commission in the Listed Creswick ...Series Final. He is in good shape and Luke Nolen takes the ride. Provided there is good speed he will be hard to beat. Husson Eagle reminded everyone of just how quickly he can let down when given the right conditions at his most recent start and seems to be going as well as ever. Like Invincible Al he needs a genuine speed to produce his best and contests the All Victorian Sprint Final. Tough Vic steps out to 2000 m at Donald and should appreciate the step up in distance. He looks to be a dour stayer and will be ridden by John Allen. Enjoy the weekend and I hope you get a winner. Do yourself a favour and check out the shares remaining in our yearlings. They are filling up. primethoroughbreds.com.au Joe ONeill

14.01.2022 Good luck to Flying Jess in the Group 1 Myer Classic at Flemington on Saturday. She is in great order leading into the race with Tye Angland knowing her well. She has drawn a bit wide and likely to come out of barrier 13. There is a lot of speed in the race and hopefully she can get some cover. The mare cost just $60,000 at the 2015 Magic Millions Gold Coast January Sale and has won $1,390,930 in stakes money. She is valued at many times her purchase price which is terrif...ic for her owners. This crop of yearlings collectively cost $1,308,000 to purchase and also include the very handy gallopers Invincible Al, Hussys Glow, The Wasp, Not Surprising, Munjai and Isthmian. Hopefully Saturday will see Flying Jess adding a lot more stakes money to her total. you should check out the Star Witness filly we are offering at present. She is a lovely strong filly. https://vimeo.com/238505573 Joe ONeill 0433762700

12.01.2022 I must say I am happy most of the yearling sales are behind us. It is a frantic time of the year with eight sales compressed into a 10 week window. These are spread across the six Australian states and NZ. I have added 16 yearlings to our team over the past few months without having to spend ridiculous amounts of money. Currently we have 23 horses in our racing team that have raced with 19 being winners. The winners include the good gallopers Husson Eagle, Invincible Al, Our ...Long Sali, Casa De Lago, Hussys Glow, Chalmers, Reneged, Golden Script, Almerheri, Black And Tan, Everard and the list goes on. Added to these 23 horses we have 27 unraced 2yo and yearlings. Today we step out Banachek at Donald and Chalmers in the important Provincial Championship heat at Newcastle. A placing in this race would see him qualify for the Provincial Championship Final at Randwick on 13 April. This meeting is likely to see Winx have her final race in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes. A nice day to have a runner!!! The yearlings I have shares remaining in are on our website: primethoroughbreds.com.au Alternatively, you could give me a call on 0433762700. These are with Patrick and Michelle Payne in Victoria, John Thompson in NSW, Dan Morton in WA and Adam Trinder in Tasmania. There should be something there for everyone. I have been thrilled with the reaction to our yearling purchases with the reports Im getting back from the breakers being very positive indeed. Check out the Shooting To Win colt with Michelle Payne. He is a cracking horse by a very exciting young sire. Im certain Michelle will be a big success as a trainer and I am very pleased to be associated with her. https://vimeo.com/316508567

11.01.2022 We have an exciting week ahead with Invincible Amici kicking off proceedings tomorrow at Ballarat for Darren Weir. She comes in nicely after Tahlia Hopes cla...im. She will certainly appreciate the dry track. On Friday night we have two nice hopes at Canterbury where exciting two year old Everard is down to run. She didnt get any galloping room last start and with normal luck should run well. Not Surprising suffered a serious injury as a two year old but has now started to put it together with her 4th in the Magic Millions Country Cup full of merit. In her past eight starts she has recorded three wins and hasnt finished further back than 4th. She is an improving mare. On Sunday one of our veterans Makeadane heads to the Bega Cup. Over the years we have won plenty of feature country races including the Kilmore Cup, Grafton Cup, Murwillumbah Cup, Muswellbrook Cup, Walcha Cup, Tamworth Cup, Sale Quality (twice), Moe Sprint, Wangoom Handicap and Grafton Guineas to name a few. Hopefully Makeadane can add to this list. Our yearlings have been very well received. Check out this exciting Shooting To Win filly to be trained by John Moloney. At just $8,750 for a 5% share she represents great value. LOT 93: https://vimeo.com/251374486

11.01.2022 It has been quite an amazing couple of weeks. Our horses have done a great job winning at Flemington, Canterbury, Morphettville and Taree. Three good metropolitan winners with Invincible Al, Hussys Glow and Reneged coming from the tail of the field in their respective wins. Invincible Als win was an exceptional effort, it literally took the breath away from a couple of the owners when he accelerated past his opposition. On top of these great successes we were awarded an... Apac Insider Magazine Australian Enterprise Award for Racehorse Syndication and Management. This has topped off a great season that has seen our horses win Stakes or Metropolitan races in NSW, Victoria, Queensland, SA and Tasmania. Our yearlings are starting to fill up with only about 20 shares remaining.

10.01.2022 We have had a great couple of weeks with our two year old team really starting to put their hand up. Firstly it was Wategos Beach that greeted the judge first followed by Zelsignoret who was dominant in winning at only her second start. Black and Tan and Casa De Lago have run great second placings with Kissing Game placed at Canterbury on debut. Black And Tan and Casa De Lago are scheduled to run in the next week with Kissing Game gone for a well deserved spell.... Another of our juvenile team in Chalmers should debut in the next couple of weeks. Our results are very good when you consider we only have 13 two year olds in our team. Watch Zelsignorets win earlier in the week, she is a highly progressive horse. https://www.racing.com/form/2017-05-23/seymour#/

10.01.2022 What a week it has been. I got the filly I wanted at the Magic Millions National Sale where I purchased a sister by Champion young sire Hinchinbrook to our very good mare Unchain My Heart, the winner of 10 races, three at stakes level and $595,580 in stakes monet. Not bad for a $45,000 purchase. This Hinchinbrook filly will go to Kris Lees to train. On Friday we stepped out a really promising two year old named Chalmers and he did a great job to finish 4th after having noth...ing go right. Mark his name down as one to follow. On Saturday we lined up three runners. Husson Eagle was the first cab off the rank and he did a nice job to finish 4th at Flemington in a race that wasnt run to suit him. We then turned our attention to Morphettville where the Patrick Payne trained Hussys Glow was running. She won and what a win it was. Watch her in race 4 at Morphettville, great ride by Raquel Clark. https://www.theracessa.com.au/race-info/video-gallery While this was a great win the best was yet to come with Invincible Al being the best win of the day at Flemington. He was simply awesome and again the trainer Patrick Payne did a great job. Michelles ride was a pearler. Watch this for a win. https://www.racing.com/form/2017-06-10/flemington/race/8 I only have a couple of shares remaining in the Sizzling filly I purchased for Patrick. Check her out at: primethoroughbreds.com.au

10.01.2022 I was impressed with the progeny off first season sire Sizzling at the yearling sales last year and purchased two nice yearlings. I was also the under bidder on another filly by the good looking son of Snitzel. The first of these three youngsters, Zizzis has had two starts for Patrick Payne winning on debut in a good field at Bendigo where she beat Chess Star who went on to win the St Albans Stakes at Moonee Valley. Zizzis headed to Adelaide for her 2nd start where she blew... a smart field away in the 2018 Adelaide Magic Millions 2YO Classic. The second yearling is named Addocarr was recently 2nd in a barrier trial at Doomben, spelled and is now being being prepared for the Brisbane Winter Carnival. The third which I was the under bidder on was Sizzling Belle was out of our good race mare Greenmount Belle and was placed 2nd in the Black Opal Stakes. I was confident I was on the right tram with Zizzling and found two nice fillies by him at the Perth Magic Millions and Adelaide Magic Millions. These are almost fully subscribed with the Perth filly going to Dan Morton and Adelaide filly going to Patrick Payne. check them out on our website: primethoroughbreds.com.au Here is a video of the Sizzling / Nullarbor Nymph filly I purchased in Adelaide. This filly is from Kingston Towns family. Adelaide Magic Millions Sizzling x Nullarbor Nymph Filly https://vimeo.com/260181900

09.01.2022 Flying Jess was terrific at Caulfield on Wednesday and she now heads to the Group 1 Myer Classic on Derby Day at Flemington where she will be ridden by Tye Angland. She has done a remarkable job. I purchased her for $60,000 at the 2015 Gold Coast Magic Millions and she has now won $1,390,930 and valued at over 10 times her purchase price. We have quite a few runners over the next few days starting at Taree where One Invincible Cat resumes. Tomorrow sees Lomazzo and Munjai ...head to Newcastle, Raido will run at Doomben. On Sunday Chalmers may line up at Wyong but more likely to be kept for Scone on Friday. The weather across South East Queensland has been very wet and Not Surprising will be kept for Scone as well. The good news is the Star Witness filly I purchased for Darren Weir to train is on the market and our first yearling offered to the market by Prime Thoroughbreds for the 2017/18 Season. Check her out. https://vimeo.com/238505573 Other horses purchased privately by me include Unchain My Heart, Holding, Pitt Street, Too Many Reds, Believe n Achieve and our promising gallopers Invincible Al and Isthmian.

09.01.2022 We have a big couple of weeks ahead starting with Flying Jess who lines up in the Group 2 SAJC Queen Of The Turf Stakes with Mark Zahra booked to ride the mare. This great money spinner cost just $60,000 at the 2015 Gold Coast Magic Millions Sale and has pocketed $1,418,930 in stakes money to date. At long last she has drawn a decent barrier which is something that has eluded her for most of her career. She is in good shape heading into this race. Good luck to her and conn...ections. On 12 May Our Long Sali who has been so dominant in Tasmania will have her first start in the Group 3 SAJC Sires Produce Stakes where she will be partnered by Dwayne Dunne. This filly was purchased from the 2017 Tasmanian Magic Millions Sale for $32,000 and has three wins to her credit including the 2018 Tasmanian Magic Millions Two Year Old Classic. A win in Adelaide would see her earnings top $185,000. Our other runners for the coming week include Reneged at Warwick Farm, Black And Tan at Sandown as well as Chalmers, The Wasp, Hussys Glow, Honolulu Lass and Unchain My Hearts young sister Cant Catch Her is set to make her debut on Tuesday in Newcastle. It has been an terrific few months as we have stepped out our two year old team with some of the most exciting two year olds running around. We have only raced five of our 12 youngsters but have won the Magic Millions Classics in Adelaide and Tasmania as well as Golden Script running an unlucky 2nd in the $300,000 VOBIS Sires at Caulfield. Golden Script and Zizzis are spelling at Fulmen Park and will be prepared for the Melbourne Spring Carnival. Both fillies are eligible and probably qualified for the $2 million Magic Millions Guineas to be run at the Gold Coast in January. If you are interested in getting into a Prime Thoroughbreds syndication please check out our website at: primethoroughbreds.com.au

09.01.2022 Prime Thoroughbreds will be represented by seven runners over the next week. Things kick off tomorrow with Montana Pines resuming at Ipswich for Tony Gollan. On Friday Quirion heads to Ballina for a first up assignment for this preparation. On Saturday we are likely to have three runners with Savoureux at Doomben, Reneged at Caulfield and Isthmian at Gosford. On Sunday Hussons Kiss heads to Devonport over a more suitable distance and our final runner for the season is like...ly to be Not Surprising at Port Macquarie. Good luck to each of these nice horses. In other Prime news Gold Coast Guineas winner Flying Jess is coming along well and Husson Eagle enjoyed his break at the beach.

08.01.2022 A big thank you to our horses, trainers, their hardworking staffs and everyone who were a part of a fabulous 2016/17 Season. It is impossible to list every highlight for the season but the one that stands above the rest was Flying Jesss win in the $2 million Magic Millions Guineas at the Gold Coast. She beat some of the highest profile three year olds in Australia that day and once again showed that you dont need to spend a million dollars to compete at the highest level in our great industry. The following pictures will tell a great story.

06.01.2022 Good luck to Savoureux and Reneged at Rosehill and Annaman at Caulfield tomorrow. Most of our owners race horses as a hobby but are thrilled when they get a return. These three horses cost $220,000 to purchase as yearlings and have won 14 races and $662,220 in stakes to date with Savoureux worth upwards of $350,000 as a breeding proposition.... Not a bad hobby!!!

03.01.2022 Great day, thank you Bruno for the wonderful photos

02.01.2022 I was thrilled when the Darren Weir trained Invincible Amici became our first winner for the season on Friday. The daughter of I Am Invincible ran .48 second quicker than the next fastest last 600m for the day. This equates to about 9m. This is a remarkable effort for a filly on debut against the older horses. She was never in any trouble and had her opposition covered a long way from home. She was very well ridden by Harry Coffey who is developing into a very good rider.... Darren Weir is a great trainer with Invincible Amicis win being the eighth of nine horses to head to the races with Darren for Prime Thoroughbreds. In fact Darren has sent the three yearlings I purchased him in 2016 to the races with all three winning. In the coming week we have Annaman running at Flemington where he has drawn an ordinary gate, Not Surprising at Taree and Montana Pines at Doomben. Invincible Amici (pictured below) was purchased from Yarraman Park as was Annaman and Not Surprising.

01.01.2022 Our team of two year olds continued to gain traction with the Patrick Payne trained Zizzis winning on debut at Bendigo on Wednesday and will now head to the $200,000 Magic Millions Two Year Old Classic on 12 March 2018. We have now run just four of our 13 youngsters with some great results. The Stuart Gandy trained Our Long Sali won the Tasmanian Magic Millions Two Year Old Classic on 14 February 2018 and looks to have a great future. Up in Sydney the Kris Lees trained Eve...rard has put the writing on the wall running an impressive 3rd at Randwick and was then placed 2nd at Canterbury. She was given a well earned rest and is being aimed at the Brisbane winter carnival where she should be very competitive. In other news the Darren Weir trained Golden Script won a jump out at Ballarat by a minute on Thursday and Tony Gollans nice Sizzling colt Addocarr is back in work on Monday and will be targeting the Brisbane Winter Carnival as. Our brief to our trainers is not to go to the races until the two year olds are ready as we want our owners to have a few year years enjoyment from their horses not two minutes!!! This approach is one of the reasons we have the six year old Husson geldings Husson Eagle and Raido running today. Both raced as two year olds and are still going strong. They collectively cost just $82,500 and have won 11 races and $1,212,398. We only purchased 13 yearlings in 2017 which further highlights the outstanding results we are once again achieving. I am thrilled with the way our new crop of yearlings have been received. Check out this filly with Kris Lees. She is by Champion Sire More Than Ready and looks a real early runner to me. https://vimeo.com/255234444

01.01.2022 I am pleased to announce that we have sold all the shares in our 2017 yearling purchases. Thank you to our loyal supporters and welcome to many new owners to Prime Thoroughbreds. This years crop of youngsters are by some of our very best sires including I Am Invincible, Not A Single Doubt, Hinchinbrook (2), Al Maher, Husson (2), Smart Missile, Written Tycoon, All Too Hard, Sebring, Needs Further and the exciting first season sires Sizzling (2) and Epaulette. On the racetra...ck we have continued to punch above our weight with the Magic Millions Guineas winner Flying Jess set to run in the Lets Elope Stakes at Flemington on Saturday. She made a terrific return to racing storming home from the rear of the field in the Cockram Stakes at Caulfield. Her main goal for the Spring is the Group 1 Myer Classic at Flemington on Derby Day. Our only other runner this weekend is Lomazzo who is resuming from a spell at Newcastle on Saturday. I may purchase a yearling in the next six weeks if I see one I like on my travels. Keep an eye on this site. I hope you back a winner. https://vimeo.com/232605798

01.01.2022 We will really start to ramp things up this week with Banachek returning to the track tomorrow at Kyneton. The son of Written Tycoon has been gelded since his last preparation where he was so impressive winning his maiden. Flying Jess is in very good order heading into the Group 3 Ladies Vase at Caulfield on Wednesday with Tye Angland retaining the ride. She was outstanding in the Stocks Stakes where she stormed home for second against the pattern on the night. On Friday On...e Invincible Cat resumes at Taree and Lomazzo heads to either Newcastle on Saturday or Wyong on Sunday. Munjai will resume at Newcastle as well. On Saturday Not Surprising is set down to run at Doomben and Raido resumes at the same meeting for Tony Gollan albeit in a tough race. Our two year old team has been fully subscribed and are going very nicely. We may have our first two year old runner later in the month but this will depend on how they progress. In other news Husson Eagle, Invincible Al, Hussys Glow, Casa De Lago, Zelsignoret, Reneged and Kissing Game are in work. We are looking like having a big summer. I purchased a really nice yearling bred at Yarraman Park and will put the details up in the next few days. She is by Star Witness out of the Encosta de Lago mare Involve. Exciting times ahead.

01.01.2022 We have a big day with the Prime Thoroughbreds / Ricky Stuart Foundation lunch in the Committee Room at Flemington. Im thrilled to be able to support such a worthwhile cause and look forward to catching up with those attending. We have received terrific support from the Victoria Racing Club, Lenna of Hobart, Pooley Wines, Peppermint Bay, Moloney Racing, Patrick Payne Racing, Darren Weir Racing, South Melbourne Seafoods, Kirkpatrick Meat, Proper And Son and MVRC, Studio Italia and Big And Tall Menswear. Hopefully our two runners at Flemington Husson Eagle and Hussy[s Glow can run well and a win would top off a great day.
