18.01.2022 What did you guys get up to this weekend? I had the pleasure of working on this 68 Chev Camaro in preparation for Chev Nationals this weekend. I started with removing both front seats. Dry brushing to lift all the dirt out of the old style carpet and vacuuming, followed by a fabric protection for ease of future cleaning. The front and rear seats and all trims were cleaned with multi purpose cleaner and a drill brush followed by a vinyl protection to keep the seats supple.... I then worked my way round to the engine bay. This car is fitted with a ''mild'' 454 bbc with a catalogue of parts thrown at it. Polished inner guards, metal polished the rocker covers and the front of the motor (all by hand) And then moved onto the exterior. Received a claybar/de-con wash, 2 stage polish followed by a paint protection coat to hold gloss and help with future detailing. The wheels also got treated to a metal polish and obviously a final detail before returning to the customer. Enjoy!
