With their slick tyres and wings, the F1000 category is the closest thing to... a Formula 1 that youll see around Wanneroo Raceway in a race setting. Spectators welcome for only $5 per car in our park and view areas of turns 1, 2, 3 and 7 and you can view all the cars while wandering through the paddock areas of Wanneroo Raceway. Racing starts at 9am this Sunday!

Our second feature this weekend is the Street Car Racing Association of WA Torque Trophy which is the hotly contested annual trophy event for Street Cars run since 1975. It was named after a 70s Australian motoring TV show, Torque, hosted by Peter Wherrett (1936-2009), an Australian motoring journalist and racing driver. While all based on road-going cars, these are far from your average road car in terms of performance and handling, being amongst the fastest tin-tops racing in Western Australia. The class dates back 40 years so is one of the oldest associations in circuit racing in WA, with the prestigious annual Torque Trophy event having some well-known names as winners including Ian Diffen. Gates open Sunday from 7am, Racing starts at 9am.

14.01.2022 After a successful return to racing on Sunday 21st June, the WA Sporting Car Club has worked with Motorsport Australia to grant permits for spectators to return... to Wanneroo Raceway for the Improved Production Racing Tander Cup and Excel Enduro race weekend this Saturday and Sunday 11th/12th July. With the West Australian government transitioning into the Phase 4 easing of COVID-19 restrictions, the Club wanted to ensure that they could welcome back spectators whilst also adhering to the Motorsport Australia return to race guidelines which are based around a general overview of keeping motorsport safe throughout Australia. The new agreement reached between Motorsport Australia and the WA Sporting Car Club will permit up to 4 pit crew, up from 1 at the previous round, and spectators permitted in the Park and View areas of Turns 2, 3 and 7 for only $5 per car. A detailed document describing the conduct of the Race Meeting on 11/12 July will be forwarded to all entrants and officials.
