But if you dont have an alternative: Dont use an exhaust fan at the same time as the heat...er Ensure there is adequate ventilation Check on neighbours and family members who have open flue heaters and might not understand the risks Understand the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning which are similar to cold and flu. Quick tip : If youre getting leaks from your down pipes/ gutters area ( in heavy rain pour ) its not always a gutter or roof repair at fault. ... If youre able to safely. Check gutters for leaf build up especially in country areas. Build up will lead to leaks and overflow and eventually will rust / decay and be more costly in the future. By cleaning yourself -will save you money.. just not time. ( sorry) We recommend especially late autumn-heading into winter to check this regularly.. monthly if able.
