12.02.2022 Thank you to all that came to the Festival of Teaching welcome function. The sunset from the Darwin Trailer Boat Club was beautiful and the performance from the NT Music School students was wonderful. What a great way to kick of the Festival of Teaching and meet and network with the amazing people that make the Festival of Teaching possible. About this Event Chris Varney, AASE National Patron, will share his insights from channeling his Asperger's into school activities in order to help him find his 'place' and cope with school pressures.... Participants will leave with a checklist of what educational professionals could consider in helping Autistic learners feel safe to take risks in the school environment. ACHPER NT is the leading professional association representing NT teachers and other professionals working in the field...s of Health and Physical Education. The purpose of ACHPER is to promote active and healthy living for all Australians through education and professional practice. ACHPER NT also provides programs and services that support continuing development of knowledge, skills and professional practice, focussing primarily on health education, physical education and recreation. 2020 brings some exciting changes and opportunities for ACHPER NT and its members. Firstly, we are pleased to launch our new look modern logo. You will see this rolled out through our communication channels in the coming weeks. We look forward to meeting and engaging with you at the first event for the year, the ACHPER NT Member Networking Event on Thursday 12th March from 5pm at the Darwin Ski Club.
