25.01.2022 The following video is one of the competition categories, The SLALOM TEST. It's crucial and essential to have in your skillset. The slalom is an excellent way of perfecting dribble skills in a small space such as a backyard while changing directions and chasing a personal best. Great for all ages and easy to expand with more obstacles. So get ready Sunshine Coast, tomorrow we'll finally manage to get it together and will announce the eight categories for our competitions. Will be great! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EElCL-UXSL4

17.01.2022 Playing football on the Sunshine Coast doesn't mean the sun is always shining. The massive amount of rain we experienced over the last couple of weeks didn't hold us back. There are many other options where you can work on fitness, coordination and spirit. The Beach is one of the best grounds when nothing else works, and the players continued playing Fussball. Finishing it off altogether with the waves was just the tip of the iceberg.
17.01.2022 I'm missing my assistant on the pitch but I know he'll be back soon.
16.01.2022 Remember the effectiveness of football tennis? We now can go even higher and bigger while doing incredible things at the same time.
15.01.2022 HOW TO JUGGLE WITH YOUR HEAD Is there a better time than now where you have time to practice? Coming back to the game better and more skilled than ever before is a goal you can achieve now. Think professional. Think about 24 hours a day you have to schedule. How many hours a day could you practice? What could you accomplish while practising a weakness for one hour? How much could you gain perfecting your strength? Imagine yourself discovering everything possible about the bal...l and yourself when you switch off the background noises and get synchronically with your ball. Juggling with your head is hard. It is mentally challenging as frustration need to be overcome by achievements to feel good. Practise with a softer ball, don't push too hard and too long, step back and let it go for a while and try again. Soon you will see how much better you'll read the ball and how can all body parts come together producing the instinct you are after. In the end, the head is a vital part of the game and is used to score goals. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RET-KDFNfUU PRACTISE! RECORD YOUR RECORDS! CELEBRATE YOUR RECORDS WITH US! POST BELOW & SHARE YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS!

05.01.2022 Juggling is simply something that feels amazing if you are able to use multiple parts of your body and foot. Juggling with your inside and outside of your foot requires balance, flexibility and the feeling of how much power is to apply in an everchanging moment. Something tricky for you to try out. Have a look and let us know how you go. The Wanderers Competition ends soon so keep practising and uploading on our Facebook Pages. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1bHU9RSn34
05.01.2022 The Stand Up Juggle Exercise. Our young players worked towards mastering this great exercise which includes 7 great attributes a player needs. Which ones could that be?
05.01.2022 PRACTISE TIME! JUGGLING is the ultimate way of showing total control over the ball and helps to answer the question "Who controls Who"? The player controls the ball or does the ball controls the player. Get ready for some serious announcements about what you can win with our upcoming juggle competition(s) and more Pick Ups!! And to get ahead you can start practising with some juggling after that video which will help you to break records and gain the ultimate ball-control.... Watch the video to learn how I do it and recommend doing it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgYOS-bszS8 Here are some more general thoughts about why I believe it's soo important for a player. I believe is one of the ultimate key assets you need to have in order to develop the INSTINCT for your DECISION-MAKING. Juggling isn’t used in a game, but it is the base of your skillset and is the activity that aligns your mind, body, and ball. Juggling develops many parts of you as a soccer player. What does it develop? It develops a lot of areas of your game, but most importantly it helps you develop a relationship with the ball and INSTINCT of what part of your body to use. What most soccer players don’t understand is that learning to control the ball when it is on the ground is easy. Learning to control the ball when it is in the air is the hard part. How often does the ball come to you in the air? you ask. Almost all the time and good jugglers can control the ball with ease when the ball comes to them in the air, thus making their first touch effective no matter how the ball comes to them. Juggling takes time to master and it takes time to succeed at it. The hardest part is getting to 10 juggles. Once you get to 10 juggles you will find that your record increases very quickly. Getting to 10 though will take a lot of hours and a lot of patience and believe you can do it. Many young players give up because it’s so hard to get to around 10 juggles. But once you do get to 10, you have the base that will help you become a good juggler. Remember: 1) Juggling develops your foot and eye coordination. When your feet and eyes work in sync and in rhythm, the timing of your entire skill set improves. 2) Juggling works on your first touch. When the ball comes into your playing area, most of the time it comes from an aerial position. A good juggler has the instinct to bring the ball down comfortably and know which foot to use and what power to apply. 3) A good juggler is able to gently pass aerial passes to themselves over people’s feet and over their heads. These are just some examples of the advantages of juggling. In general, juggling is the base for soccer skill. There is no pro or an elite soccer player that can’t juggle. It’s juggling that builds your first touch and your first touch is everything when playing at the highest level. GET READY AND PRACTICE!

03.01.2022 Here is the article from the other day for everyone who has not been able to read it! FOOTBALL: A special collaboration is helping to keep the game of football alive in backyards across the Sunshine Coast and fine-tune skills at the same time. Like many sporting bodies across the region, the coronavirus pandemic has forced clubs to transition activities online to create avenues for continued enjoyment of sport. The Wanderers have done just this, teaming up with Steffen Binke... of Professional Fussball Development to create in-depth training videos shared via social media. (Steffen) Binke and I had been wanting to do a program that the kids can do at home for a long time, Wanderers technical director Michael Angus said. It’s obviously engaging and just trying to get something out to the kids we know they can do and practise. It’s more than just your typical tutorial clips too, with special analysis helping youth to better understand what is required to nail the goal. We wanted to do something that was broken down a little bit more and rather than just showing them and saying ‘go and do it’ we actually wanted to break it down, Angus said. We’ve done editing to be able to describe what it is and how to do it and do slow motion and things like that. Binke, a former professional footballer in Germany, added: It helps show details and what is really required in this game to actually become a better player. Some of the videos we stop and point out certain areas of the body position which help in some cases to better achieve that trick or juggle. They’ve gone one step further than simply showing training skills, adding some extra incentive to drive skill progression by creating a competition with Rebel sport vouchers up for grabs. Angus and Binke created a number of skill tests for different ages, whether it be a slalom or juggling goal, and are encouraging youth to send in videos of themselves achieving the task within set times to win a prize. The videos are already (coming in) and kids have entered and we can see them practising, Binke said. It helps to keep them occupied and busy especially in times like this where everything is a little bit different. We also encourage them to post any achievement because even that is great. If someone breaks a record in juggling or accomplishes a trick they thought they’d never do...That’s something we want to see as well. The Wanderers competition is open to all Sunshine Coast youth until April 13, head to the Wanderers or Professional Fussball Development Facebook pages for more details. See more
02.01.2022 Thank you for the video Dave
