The Main Installation at Dundonnell consists of 3 x Tower Sections, Nacelle, Hub and 3 x Blades (single blade installation) at a Hub Height of 114m.... 55 of 80 Turbines are now installed. 21.01.2022 *Employees of the Month* Troy Hatt and Jack Olver (pictured) are two of our Employees of the Month. Both apprentices, these guys are excelling in the electrical cabling and completion team at @Dundonnell Wind Farm. Darren Webber, a seasoned Wind Farm Rigger/Technician rounds out the top three. Darren is helping drive an impressive Pre-Installation rate that will see the 80 Pre-Installations completed in 5 weeks time.... 12.01.2022 It was that difficult selecting employee of the month for January, we chose 3!! Joseph Henare - whilst new to wind, Joseph is an extremely experienced Rigger and has blown us away with his adaptability and productivity since joining PWS at Dundonnell. Thomas Brown - one of our true passions is the ability to introduce new people to the industry. Thomas is one of 7 Adult apprentices with PWS and the next generation of technicians. Working across multiple fronts at Berrybank, h...e's already a valuable asset! Brody Dodd - our longest serving employee and a true team player leading by example. Brody is co-ordinating the preparation of components ahead of installation at Dundonnell. Special mention to our Main Installation teams who were collectively pipped at the post! 08.01.2022 9 to go!! Our team has exhausted the offloaded blades and are now installing them 'Just in Time' (JIT). 'Just in Time' is when components are offloaded and installed directly after transportation to site.... This can impact installation time, due to preparation of components, yet our team are managing these impacts beautifully. 03.01.2022 **HUGE ACHIEVEMENT** On what was technically a short week, we've achieved significant progress at Dundonnell Wind Farm with the Main Erection of 6 Wind Turbines!! This feat requires precision planning, preparation and of course execution.... A big thank you to BMS (craneage), RJA (transport) and Vestas for their support and collaboration in dealing with the challenges of COVID-19 whilst we drive progress on this impressive Project. We also completed the cabling and electrical completion of 5 Turbines (with one team) along with other important offloading and pre-installation activities.
