19.01.2022 IN THE NEWS: Breeding blue tang in captivity Batavia Coast Maritime Institute in Geraldton, WA is Australia's largest breeder of clownfish. Now their researcher...s have turned their attention to blue tang a species that, to date, has been impossible to breed in captivity. Interest in blue tang as ornamental fish is expected to soar following the release of Disney-Pixar's 'Finding Dory', with fears that live collection could disrupt wild populations. "It comes down to sustainability," said hatchery technician Daniel Hoare. "You cannot keep taking from the ocean without repercussions." 12.01.2022 A 51-year-old Ocean Grove man was recently found guilty and fined $1,745 in the Geelong Magistrates Court over the possession of koi carp. The man was fined $6...00 for possessing a declared noxious aquatic species, $1000 for failing to provide supplier details to Fisheries Victoria and $145 in court costs. Fisheries Officers searched the man's property in October 2015 and found a large makeshift pond containing 19 live koi carp. A number of polystyrene boxes marked live fish were also located with one box clearly displaying international flight details originating out of Bangkok. Koi carp are an ornamental variety of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) and are declared a noxious aquatic species in Victoria. Common carp are extremely destructive and have contributed to the degradation of numerous Victorian waterways since being introduced. Anyone who sees or suspects illegal fishing activity is urged to call the 24 hour reporting line 13 FISH (13 3474). See more

08.01.2022 Checkout this Mangrove Jack right here in Wagga. We have been looking after this tank since November last year and he has easily doubled in size. We went with a camyon aquascape this fortnight bit of a change from caves gets the fish out into view a bit more.

07.01.2022 Here is a Huge tank for a pet Murray Cod who is very well behaved while waterchanges happen.

04.01.2022 We are looking at changing our aquarium at home. We have approx 13 6 bar Fronnies we want to see go to a good home. If you are interested in purchasing them please feel free to contact us looking for $400 for the whole lot.

03.01.2022 Looks like we may have a issue with our messages atm. If you have sent us a message lately and we have not replied we apologies. Feel free to send us a txt on 0487238034.

03.01.2022 Notice the Angels and Discus in the same tank. We don't recommend this mix at all. So considering the discus have spawned a few times and now the Angels successfully had fry after a waterchange the other week the customer is going to take our advice and separate them into different tanks.
