25.01.2022 At ProjectKindness we recognise the challenges that children face and we acknowledge the life-changing power of ONE caring adult.

24.01.2022 Here at ProjectKindness, we believe that the people of Sydney represent a strong collective, and that we can create stronger communities by working together. How’s this for a transformation? Remember Luke* and his Grandmother? This is their front garden. Today is was transformed into an outdoor area for them both to sit back and enjoy the sunshine. A little reminder that they are valued, loved and thought about by the community. Thank you to @nicerlawncare Team PK, you have... such big hearts. *Alternative name used to protect individuals privacy. #projectkindness #sydneycommunity #gardenproject #landscapers #sydney #donate #canyouhelp #bekind #sydneylandscapers

22.01.2022 Here at ProjectKindness, all of our kindness recipients receive this card with their delivery, because we know that it’s ok to not be ok, and it’s ok to talk about it. 21.01.2022 If you are standing with others in a circle and there is someone standing alone in your circles vicinity - the thing to do is to notice them, smile at them, move over a bit and say, Hi, come join us! Even if they decide to not join your circle - even if they look at you like you’re crazy - inviting them is still the thing to do. We live by this at ProjectKindness. #ProjectKindness

19.01.2022 In times of need, small things count. We are wanting to spread kindness to other local communities as the increase in calls for support we have had since the start of the pandemic has been huge. Do you know somewhere where a kindness cupboard would flourish? We would love to hear from you.... Together, we can make the world a little more kind. #ProjectKindness #KindnessCupboards

19.01.2022 Life can be brutal, and life can be beautiful. Life is ‘Brutiful’. These are the words of an insightful elderly gentlemen living with severe depression in a large mental health boarding house in Bondi. He and 11 other long-term sufferers of mental health conditions and disabilities call this boarding house home. After visiting their home one day, we came out feeling completely dejected. We thought about it for a while and realised that the home itself wasn’t much of a home ...at all. It was dark, dreary and had little to no creativity or love attached to it. If these people were living in such a bleak home, how could they be expected to face the world with optimism and hope? That was it. We decided to put our time to good use. We shouted out to the Sydney community and boy, did they answer. Our call for donations of bright, colourful and cheerful artworks, paintings and pictures was met with such overwhelming kindness and vigour. We had a tradie stop by the house and affix these awesome pieces of art to the walls all over the massive boarding house. The boarders were absolutely stoked! The elderly gentlemen mentioned above actually went and sat in the living for the very first time since he’d been there. He told us the bright painting in there reminded him of his childhood and his Mother. We returned to the house and decided to surprise the elderly gentleman by doing up his bedroom with wonderfully bright artworks and he told us that all his Christmases had come at once. To hear that from someone who struggles with severe depression was honestly such a joy. We cannot describe just how thankful we are to the Sydney community for banding together, not just in this instance, but for every single soul we’ve gone out of our way to help. Let’s keep the kindness flowing, Sydney! #ProjectKindness #StoriesOfImpact

15.01.2022 The truth is that some times we just need the help of a professional. Sometimes our very favourite people can’t just fix us because they are not trained to do that. No amount of love or understanding can make that different. There are times when, even after talking and crying for hours with our best friends, those great listeners and the ones who just get us, we won’t feel much better for long. When your arm is broken, you go to a professional. You don’t expect you...r best friend to be able to set the bone and wrap it in a cast. When your dishwasher sounds like it’s going to die, you calla professional. You don’t expect your best friend to figure out what’s broken and replace the part. It’s no different when we are heavily burdened under the weight of anxiety or depression. So, our kind friends, perhaps it’s time to consider adding therapy to your arsenal of weapons. Depression, anxiety, or whatever dragon you are fighting can be conquered. Let’s keep hope alive! #ProjectKindness #BeKind

13.01.2022 Our hearts are so full. We have taken a pause to count our blessings. To see that together we are making a difference to people, to see people walking away with a smile on their face.... That’s what really inspires us to keep going. To our ProjectKindness community - thank you for helping us make other people feel special. It’s not much to ask of each other. Our vision is a future where we will make the world a little more kind. #ProjectKindness

10.01.2022 From a distance the world probably seems like a big, bad, scary place. If you listen to the news or talk to the people around you, they will likely talk about poverty, hate, war and corruption. And they are right, from a distance.... But I believe, up close there is enough good, enough love and enough pure kindness to make the world go round.... #BeKind #ProjectKindness

06.01.2022 Team PK, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. When you support ProjectKindness, you are supporting wonderful, inspiring and remarkable individuals find their feet and build better lives, regardless of their current circumstances.

04.01.2022 Through Project Kindness the homeless, the helpless and the hopeless are all supported through the selfless acts of others. More and more people are coming on board, donating their possessions, their time and their kindness in order to improve the quality of life of some of Sydney’s most vulnerable citizens. For that we have the Sydney community to thank. In no way, shape or form could this venture have thrived without the shining light of a wonderful band of people. The reas...on we are now able to support a large group of wonderful social workers and case workers through the needs of their clients is because of all the kind-hearted souls who have so selflessly allowed us the privilege to do so with their donations and their actions. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. When you support Project Kindness, you are supporting wonderful, inspiring and remarkable individuals find their feet and build better lives, regardless of their current circumstances. So, what’s next for Project Kindness? Well, that story continues with you #ProjectKindness #BeKind

04.01.2022 If you have kids, you know the absolute love and devotion you feel for them. You would do anything for them, even if it meant you needed to go without. Cameron is a wonderful dad to 5 seriously awesome kids. They all live together in social housing. Cameron was unable to work due to illness when we met him. Before we caught up with him, Cameron would go without for long periods of time just to ensure his kids weren’t left wanting. They certainly weren’t living comfortably lik...e many of us are lucky enough to do. This was at no fault of Cameron’s, but he felt responsible all the same. He was beginning to worry that he and his kids would soon struggle to find enough food to eat each day. It was at that point ProjectKindness and the Sydney community stepped up to the plate and banded together to help this family. We started doing weekend food drop offs to the house. These regular food deliveries lasted for a period of time and helped Cameron get ahead a little. As well as food, we stopped by with a few buckets of goodies like toys and clothes for each of his children. The huge smiles we saw that day were enough to let us know that we are indisputably doing the right thing with our Project Kindness work. We will occasionally stop by with a few bits and pieces for the family, but our initial kindness really helped put them in a good position. We were so glad to help Cameron back on his feet when he was at his lowest and we are extremely happy to see him back at work, now able to support his family. Being able to bring Cameron and his family of 5 beautiful children back from the brink of hopelessness is an experience we will never forget. #ProjectKindness

01.01.2022 Never look away from people’s pain. The lesson is simple: Don’t look away. Don’t look down. Don’t pretend not to see hurt. Look people in the eye. Even when their pain is overwhelming.... And when you’re in pain, find the people who can look you in the eye. We need to know that we are not alone, especially when we’re hurting. - Brene Brown #ProjectKindness

01.01.2022 Team PK, we are always after bags like this to deliver a little bit of kindness off to those who we support. PK #projectkindness #bekind #teampk #sydney #sydneycommunity #sydneycharity
