18.01.2022 No job too BIG or too SMALL! Here is a little bit of insight as to what we have been upto on the job front that we are excited to share with you. One of our bigger jobs this past month was for the Tobruk Pool at the Strand. For this job, we supplied 2 x Ex-Ground Royal Palms for SNR Morgan.... Roystonea regia or Royal Palm, are very tall specimen palms, reaching at least 20m in height The leaves/fronds are upto 4.5m long and can weigh as much as 20kg. The trees are self-cleaning, which means the naturally dying leaves fall from mature trees at a rate of about once per month. Below are some photos of the palm being unloaded with the family watching the job get done. We love involving our children as we are a family owned and operated business and we just love to support our locals and in so teaching our next generation to enjoy the trees and the community alike. Another recent job involving a crane was for a house on Mount Louisa for Lynams Landscaping. we delivered 2 x Ex-Ground Pandanus cookii or Cook’s Screw Pine. This particular Pandanus is native to the local area and copes well with the heat and wet then dry periods we get. Another Perfect specimen plant for instant impact. 17.01.2022 ------------------WE FINALLY HAVE ROSES!------------------- We finally have a good stock of Hybrid Tea potted roses. We have many different colours, to be able to see them all please see below the photo collage. In the collage is a display of names and the colour of the roses in stock. These roses are $28.00 each and come in a 200mm pot.... Don't forget your conifers! Thuja Orientalis Morgan Bookleaf in a 200mm pot size coming in at $20.000 each. This plant really is an easy-care plant, it is a golden lime green in colour, it is great for hedging and or low line borders, this is a dwarf plant. It goes great in full sun to part shade the colour stands out and is very eye catching in your garden bed and or pot. We also have the Pencil Pine (Cupressus Sempervirens Glauca). Most love a good looking pencil pine tree nice and straight along the fence line or driveway. We now have some beautifully established specimens in a 300mm pot at $60.00 each. Don't forget your indoor or shade loving palms - Chamaedorea Oblongata (Slipper Palm) and Chamaedorea Atrovirens (Cascade Palm). The Chamaedorea Oblongata (Slipper palm) comes in a 300mm pot size at $60 each and is already 1.2 out the pot. It’s lush and green and ready to be planted out. Once established this palm is as easy care as they come. Same with the Chamaedorea Atrovirens (Cascade Palm) also in a 300mm pot size at $55.00 each. These two complement each other in a shady garden bed or indoors and bring that tropical look with them. The cascade palm is also 1.2 out of the pot and ready to go! We hope to see you soon! 06.01.2022 ------Extra Large stock mean extra value!!!!-------- We couldn't resist showing everyone this excellent stock, just arrived. Spathiphyllum Sensation - 300mm pots - $60 each... Sensation is the largest of the Peace Lilly's, with this one bearing large glossy dark green leaves that grow in a layered manner and are distinctly ribbed. It is this lush foliage which makes it a great indoor plant, even when not in flower. In flower, it will produce large white spathes that contrast beautifully to the dark, lush foliage. Like most Spathiphyllums, it does require adequate light in order to flower. Alocasia Giant Elephant Ears - 300mm pots - $50 each Striking oversized, lime green leaves resting on long arching stems, they bring a flavour of the tropics to any garden. The leaves can get more than 1m long! This plant works well in pots and can thrive inside and out. They also work beautifully as an accent plant in the garden. The elephant ears love a light room or a shadey garden and can even take full sun, but they’re also thirsty so the more light they get, the more water they need.
