The Property Council of Australia National Mentoring Program is purpose-built for the property industry and designed to equip our industry’s aspiring leaders with the tools needed to succeed both professionally and personally. The program includes on...e-on-one mentoring along with a range of group learning and development activities, allowing participants to network meaningfully with the whole program cohort. 08.01.2022 There's hope on the horizon for the retail sector, as we heard from our Retail Outlook Lunch on Friday. Shane Oliver, Head of Investment Strategy and Chief Economist from AMP Capital ran us through his macroeconomic outlook across the globe for 2021 and beyond, before our expert panel spoke about the retail landscape post-COVID. Selina Short from EY Australia joined us via video to provide a sneak preview of EY-Property Council research on our CBDs to be released next week. Our panel, featuring the indefatigable Steve Gillard from GDI Property, Kylie Taylor from Activate Perth, John Malcolm from Dexus and Commercial Committee Chair, Angelo Amara from JLL, spoke about the commercial landscape in Perth at present. We also heard about the initiatives landlords and agents are taking to fill vacant office space, the need for CBD experiences to drive city patronage and the importance of locals promoting Perth as a place to do business, especially in the wake of COVID-19.
