25.01.2022 This Monday’s training we had our awards night with members receiving awards for long service and even a premiers award for service during this years fires. The awards were presented by the Honourable Vincent Tarzia and the Honourable Rachel Sanderson MP supported by SES staff Rachel Rowett GM, Leanne Schmidt COM and Craig Brassington DO. Congratulations to all those that received awards and to all our members for another year of community service.

20.01.2022 A big weekend for the Prospect Unit, with call outs for leaking roofs, a large tree across a road to finishing the long weekend with a working bee. Our volunteers and family members worked tirelessly all day! A big thank you for your fantastic work

18.01.2022 Please take care around trees during hot weather too, this tree branch snapped on a nearly dead calm hot day. A big thanks again to those who responded to the call.

14.01.2022 We have also been freshening up our unit with a new paint scheme in the training room and our social committee have also started Christmas decorations ready for our final training night of the year.

08.01.2022 Another weekend and again our members are working away on freshening things up. Today’s efforts continue on of remodeling the training room and notice board, a reshuffle of the appliance bay layout to improve equipment removal and of course a bath and tyre shine for the vehicles and trailers. Thank you again to all our members for the terrific work they do.

07.01.2022 As an SES volunteer your get to work alongside other emergency services, in this case our friends at SAPOL.

06.01.2022 Tonight we recognised another member of our unit who has stepped down from active duty to be a valued social member of our unit. Thank you Nick for your service here at our unit but also for your service in the Tasmanian SES.
