16.01.2022 Thanks to the Proston Social Committee who by donating half the money of steakburgers sold over the weekend, raised $1018 for the SOTN! They started the club around 15 yrs ago in an am to raise money for charity. In the past they have donated to the Marter Foundation Cancer Fund, Marter Foundation Little Miracles and the Royal Flying Doctor. They also put on social events at the hotel paying for the entertainment. The money raised from the draft will also be donating to charity. Obviously they have also donated the attached with the help of the meat suppliers.

16.01.2022 "Up from here". Although I created this painting with the initial aim to raise money, we have decided that the priority for the painting is to remain the proper...ty of the rural communities affected by the floods. So we are looking for a sponsor to purchase the painting and donate it back to those North Western councils. Awesome news, we have a sponsor who has donated $10000, how good is that. Details to come. All money raised will go to Sisters of the North Limited edition prints are available on my website and $50 from each print sold will be donated to "Sisters of the North". https://markcoombe.com/workszoom/3064448 See more

Norris & Elite Livestock Auctions and the rest of the Proston Golden Spurs Charity Draft and Auction, thank you so much for your super-hero efforts in the past few weeks! 13.01.2022 Karen Butters address to the Charity maiden4maiden riders at the recently held Proston Campdraft. Sorry I missed the first few sentences where Karen described o...ur mates from the North after suffering through drought for over a decade to then finally get rain and to such devastation of the severe flooding that occurred there in North QLD. I would like to congratulate Kay Radke and her hard working committee and volunteers on a well run event. The cattle donors and sponsors as well as the judges and anyone else that helped in anyway to the lead up to and including the weekend. The amazing businesses and people who offered such wonderful items to the auctions from Stallion Service Fees, discount on a bull, a working dog pup, wine and many more items to even a Cattle Crush. Your generosity is amazing considering we also have been suffering drought in our areas. To the bidders and under bidders! Around $50,000 was raised for Sisters of the North Charity! What an incredible accomplishment! I for one and my family were super proud to be able to attend and support this weekend. Our children were lucky to compete this weekend. ( Jordon even making the final on Tango ) The cattle were fantastic across the board for all the drafts. Last but not least to the people who ran the bar for having such awesome prices for us all to drink and enjoy Congrats again to everyone See more
