08.01.2022 PRE-SUMMER SURF PROGRAM FOR SCHOOLS By: Head Coach Ed Amorim Pro Surf Coaching ... PRESENTATION: The Summer is just on the corner and the beach life style will be back to our Island soon, Is time to give to our kids the necessary information so they can enjoy this special time of the year with some knowledge of the beach environment in a safety way to work on safety and prevention to stay out of trouble. There is where we came in place the head surf coach Ed Amorim from Pro surf Coaching develop a very simple program with a group of very enjoyable out door activity right inside of the school permisses, Basically we will attracting the kids attention with all the fun to learn to surf but with the focus on helping them to stay safety at the beach. PROGRAMS FORMAT & CONTENTS: Time: 15 to 30 minutes Where: Assemble area, sport court or class rooms. Age groups: from 5 to 18 years old Format: General Assembly (includes mum, dads and school staff) or individual Grades classes What we need: All the surf equipments and material will be provide by Pro Surf Coaching. Cost: $00 (Volunteer) 1- Surf Presentation: origem of surf, equipment presentation, waves formation knowledge, top surf spots in the island, environmental standards for surfers 2- Safety Brighting: What can be dangers on the beach, Risk management and emergency plan. 3- Surf Activity: explanation, demonstrations and safety practice. 4- Finish: Final Considerations and open to questions. CONTENT: Safwety on the top Beach: The Summer is just on the corner and the beach life style will be back to our Island soon, Is time to give to our community the necessary information so they can enjoy this special time of the year in a safety way, preventing and to stay out of trouble. Surf Risk Management Surf is a extreme sport and be out there on the surf zone take wave going in and out of the water, than dividing the line up with different people in diferente levels and proposes is definitely not safety, So let’s start it.. before our adventure continue we will cover some of the safety aspects of our sport. This is Ed Amorim here from Pro Surf Coaching - PSC and with the school holidays just on the corner we like to announce and invite your kids to be part on our two new programs: PSC Grommets Program: ... This program is already happening and growing up every week with 2 classes on Wednesday and Saturday always 4 pm at Smiths Beach contemplating kids from 01 to 13 yeas old dividing in 3 different divisions.. tomorrow we on again. All the kids are more than welcome to join us, we definitely looking forward to see you all together again. Attention parents We maybe going to surf a different special place today because the big swell but it is a surprise still, we will meet at Rip Curl Shop (Cose to the bridge) this time at 4 pm and we going to skating at New Haven skate park just on the corner from there and then go try found good waves around the corner from there.. PSC Surf Comp Program We also proud to announce the New PSC Surf Comp Program will start next Tuesday 8/12 same time 4 pm at Smiths Beach but will be mobile for the athletes trying different waves too, this new project is designed for kids that like to prepare themselves for future competitions, we will together study the comp rules and juggling criteria, have a specific comp training, additional surf gym, heat simulation, proper competition, support on sponsorship proposals, media exposure, video analysis and lots of more.. we will have 3 division available grommets, cadets, and Juniors.. all our surf students are welcome. please let me know if will suits your little champion.. thank you regards Ed Amorim PSC
