25.01.2022 Check out the Road master dragster we recently picked up. If only I could get my daughter to ride it?!

24.01.2022 This is another one of my own steeds. GT Force X 2016. I like it because it uses a unique suspension design which was quite ahead of its time. With some new bikes having extra idler pulleys to accomodate the ability to have a rearward axle path, GT did it with their AOS pivot system. Some people say it feels weird when they first ride the bike as the bottom bracket moves with the suspension, but it doesnt react to every pedal stroke like a standard 4 bar (of which the new GTs... are). A minor trade off to this design is that it stiffens up during braking. It works to the bikes benefit, providing an almost mechanical solution to low speed compression. Ive also drilled & fitted Di2, a wolf tooth GC49 extender cog w/ goatlink & camp spider. Anyway, this is my bike. 24.01.2022 This is my own Lynsky Helix Sport 30 years Anniversary. Its built up with parts I have always dreamt about but could not afford in the past. Dont get me wrong, I couldnt afford this bike new. I spent almost a year collecting used parts, replacing placeholders such as wheels & brakes as I went. But Im glad with the result. Not only is it fantastic to ride, it reminds me of what you can achieve through hard work. @ Protune Bicycle Maintenance

23.01.2022 Not every satisfying job is building someones new fancy bike. Jasmines chain keeps derailling as there is no guide for the chain. She has special needs, so we needed a special solution! Hopefully a cut down @oneupcomponents chain guide attached to the inside of her chain guard, is the the answer. Fingers crossed! @ Protune Bicycle Maintenance

23.01.2022 What we have here is a customers freehub that has had all the oil removed by some unscrupulous use of solvent degreaser. Because the freehub isnt easy to find a replacement, I have devised this method of filling an area with oil & hopefully gravity will help us get some oil back into the freehub. The concept came from an old tool that is no longer made called a freehub buddy. The buggy did a similar thing but grease was pumped into the freehub via a small hole. The only issue with that is that a freehub should not really have grease, but in fact a thick oil (some freehubs use grease but it can cause these. Ones to malfunction). Anyway, the wheel has to sit for a bit, but I am pretty confident we will have a winner!

19.01.2022 Oops.... I might have just bought another bike Ive always wanted.. and the wheels Ive always wanted for it. And they were cheap?!?!?!?!!!! Ever since I worked at Velo, my favourite bike in the shop was a Time. It was like working in a car workshop on Ferraris, lambos, Porsches. But you have to drive a Toyota (or a Trek). Well today I got that Ferrari/Lambo/whatever & the feeling is better than Xmas. I think Ill wait now to collect the rest of the parts as Ive secured the 2 most important pieces of this build. 15.01.2022 This is an escarpment on a ride from Paradise falls to Dundandabah @bunyamountains. You enter via the main road & follow a trail through the Forrest until you exit out onto where this photo was taken. Then after climbing the hill you re-enter the Forrest via an almost hobbit-like entrance, to wind & climb your way back home.

13.01.2022 Definately not the most fun job, but definitely easier with the correct tools! Check your pivots! Pivot bearings are generally required every 12 months & they make an enormous difference to how your bike rides!

08.01.2022 2009 Downunderground Flatland comp Brisbane. Amidst half torn down tennis courts, a bunch of us pedalled down to watch the homies roll around on one wheel with their bike in the air. This type of riding gave a whole new meaning to bike handling & I took away the G turn to Slider, my one only only 3 tricks I can do ... If you look closely at the spectators you might be able to spot me in my black T1 hat I still wear today.

08.01.2022 If you have ever wondered how a carbon wheel is made have a watch! The method on de-stressing the wheel during building is similar the the north is I use, although to be Velocity certified you must de-stress 7 times, as opposed to 6 times shown in this video.

02.01.2022 107th Tour De France has begun! It is on now live on SBS. Its this time of year that I get stoked about riding my road bikes. Its good motivation to get out on the bike & previous years Ive tried to challenge myself to ride road every day of the tour!

02.01.2022 2 years ago today I attended @interbike. A dream of mine since reading about it every year in @mountainbikeaction magazine. Its still one of the most fun days Ive ever had.
