It has been a reduced season for tournam...ents but I was able to make three of 4 shoot down rounds. Very happy to podium and honored to be in the company that I am. 05.01.2022 Hey everybody ... long post... I know the word is out now and we’re allowed to talk about it so, I thought I would share some of my experiences with the brand n...ew 2021 PSE Archery Citation. Wifey Sharon Wallace and I have been lucky enough to have had and been testing both the 36 inch and the 40 inch models with both EM and SE cams since early August. When I got mine and I was so impressed I begged the bosses to let me shoot it at the Archery Shooters Association Classic (as I really believed in my heart I could podium with the bow)...but they said absolutely no way!... not until the release in September. Well, since the cat is out of the bag I will give some of the info that I have learned and that I am most impressed with. Although I personally love the SE cam, the EM is actually far more efficient. I get a better and more solid back wall and higher speeds so, as a 3-D shooter that is the direction that I plan on leaning towards in 2021. Several professional members of our team and I have had some conversations back-and-forth between tournaments and hunting trips and what has been amazing is that we have all tested a large variation of limbs and limb configurations of our deflections and through it all I am amazed at the ability to tune and customize this bow for each individual shooter. I have included some photographs of my first couple indoor rounds (which obviously is not my cup of tea) but I use as a test to see if the equipment will do it’s job ...and it absolutely will! There is also a photograph of a paper tune that shows a Black Eagle Arrows 23 diameter, a 26 diameter and a 27 diameter with bare shafts and they all bullet hole without moving the rest left or right!!! This is absolutely incredible! Some of the features I am most impressed with on this series of bows are that it has the widest limb pocket stance ever produced giving the shooter or shop owner the ability to move the cams further left and right to get a customized tune. I love the fact that the cable guard spins 360 to allow for perfect clearance and I love the fact that each limb pocket has its own separate locking system. For people that like a particular cam feeling I believe PSE has it covered with the SE or EM cam that can reach let off options of 65% 70% 75% 80% 85% and 90%... All while achieving competitive speeds with risers that have straight to deflexed geometries that absolutely point and aim better allowing more forgiving options. Again, sorry for the long post but I’m just really excited about the new toys since they’ve been released and now we can talk about them! #Pete Shepley Bobby Vargas Lonnie Workman #pse #psebows #psearchery #psenation

04.01.2022 TEAM PSE LEADING THE WAY WITH SUPRA FOCUS: ANDERS FAUGSTAD TOPS LOCKDOWN KNOCKOUT QUALIFICATION WITH 596. Matches will be streamed live on World Archerys digital platforms from 9 May. Norwegian compounder Anders Faugstad scored 596 out of a possible 600 points for the 60-arrow 18-metre ranking round to top qualification for the Lockdown Knockout, World Archerys first remote international tournament.... If you had told me eight years ago when I started archery that I would be invited to an online tournament with some of the best archers in the world and, on top of that, qualify first, I would not have believed you, he said. So I have to say that Im really happy. Qualifying first in a tournament is always a huge boost but that doesnt mean you can start slacking or underestimating your opponent. Anders won compound junior mens gold at the World Archery Youth Championships with a perfect 150-point match in the finals arena and finished runner up at the senior Hyundai World Archery Championships in 2019. Eight compound archers are taking part in this first Lockdown Knockout. Faugstad led Mike Schloesser (589), Paige Pearce (587), Toja Ellison (585), Sara Lopez and Domagoj Buden (584), Steve Anderson (583) and Linda Ochoa-Anderson (579) over qualification. In an unusual rule twist, the archers must use thin arrows rather than the normal fat shafts preferred indoors. Most shot their ranking round in covered ranges, while Schloesser and Lopez did theirs outdoors. I found it really difficult to hit with my outdoor set-up and became quite frustrated, so I did a little tuning on my bow to get it to work indoors with thin arrows. I could really feel the difference and it helped my confidence, said Anders. Qualification ran from Friday 1 to Monday 4 May. The athletes will now be seeded for the matchplay phase of the tournament, which starts on 9 May. The men have been put on one side of the bracket and women on the other. The final will be between the last unbeaten man and the last unbeaten woman.
