25.01.2022 Dr John Clarkson In 2011, Dr Clarkson created the Neuro-Diagnostic Centre, where he consults in the fields of Psychiatric Disorders and Psychotherapy. His main areas of interest are Mood Disorders and their co-morbid conditions (with particular reference to Adult ADHD and Bipolar Spectrum Disorders), John endeavours to approach his clinical practice in the most scientific manner possible, often incorporating the Mind Screen Mental Health Assessment Software and functional Bra...in Imaging (SPECT) into the diagnostic process. This approach assists him to gain greater insight into the patient's condition and in turn formulate a tailor-made treatment program. The net result of his method has seen his patients, who may have previously been put in the too hard basket or labelled "treatment-resistant", actually achieve positive clinical outcomes. See more

We have a few secondhand copies of earlier editions for sale at the Neurodiagnostic Centre - new editions are available from Dr Amen's website.

07.01.2022 Behavioural Management Behaviour Management All children present some behavioural challenges for their parents at one time or another. In my work with families and children I have noticed that some behaviour is more troubling for parents more others, and some children do not respond in the expected way to the usual parental discipline. This is particularly the case when a child has ADD/ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, or Post Trauma symptoms.... One of the most enjoyable aspects of my practice is helping parents & children to resolve these issues; including the most troubling of behaviours such as lying, sexualised behaviour, soiling, & wetting.

06.01.2022 My work at the Neurodiagnostic Centre is primarily with those whose lives have been impacted by a range of psychiatric and psychological disorders. I provide therapy, counselling, and psycho-education for children, adolescents, and adults; for individuals, couples, and parent/child dyads. I have specific interests in the neurobiology of trauma and anxiety; attentional & other learning disorders; mother/infant mental health and attachment relationships; parenting and behaviour management. I also conduct psychological assessments.
