06.01.2022 At Puff-ah, we do things differently. We have re-imagined the inhaler, and now we are busy developing our ideas to get them ready for market in Australia. Come join us now and be a part of the Asthma solution. The Challenge: Research shows asthma sufferers are reluctant to use a spacer with their inhaler. This poses a life-threatening risk as sufferers are less likely to adhere to their action plan. The medical community is aware of this and while spacers are used in the ho...spital setting they are rarely used in the community. Adults and children tend to find spacers inconvenient and embarrassing: - Spacers can be bulky to carry around, often requiring another bag. - It takes time and effort to fit the spacer to the inhaler. - Spacers are medicalised devices and are not cool. - As spacers are a separate device to the inhaler, they can be easily forgotten or left at home. - Parents have no assurance that their child is using the spacer together with the inhaler even if they carry it to school with them. The Solution: A single piece, customisable, fully integrated inhaler and collapsable spacer. Changeable skins allowing both more individuality for users and a shift away from the medical nature of the device. Puff-ah aims to improve delivery of asthma medication within the community by removing the stigma attached to spacers. No more losing/forgetting your spacer No more being too embarrassed to use your spacer No more fiddling around with attachments No more carrying a separate spacer in your bag Puff-ah - the breath in your pocket!
