14.01.2022 EPSOM HCP Randwick Race 7 ... #13 rock $8.50 / $3.10 - loving rocks win in the Cameron group 3 , beating the field over 3.5 lengths. Rock needs a good track to see him to his full potential. Forget his 2 goes at the mile in previous attempts (epsom 2019 group 1 / Kennedy cantala group 1 ) they were both run on soft tracks. He drops 3 kg on last start and in form Tommy berry sticks. With no rain expected for the rest of the week expect a perfect track. He’s drawn a little awkward , but berry should settle him a little worse than midfield and if we see a similar performance to last start I can’t see why he wouldn’t put this field away. Saver #6 Brandenburg $26/$7 - I’d be having a small saver on Brandenburg we took $61-1 in the watsapp chat and he’s drawn a treat. His last start was a massive tick. He only got going late and was kind of held up on the turn. Winner would of still won , but he may have finished 2nd. John Sargent would have set this as his grand final and I think he could be a decent Smokey in the race. His 3 goes at the mile have all been ultra impressive, hasn’t missed a place and always runs a solid honest race. Jason collet has also been in good form of late ! She is being trained by Nathan Doyle and is by Extreme choice X Katie’s eyes (still unnamed). 5% will set you back $2600 plus GST all bills until end of this month. 08.01.2022 Toorak HCP Caulfield Race 9 - Cascadian $12 / $3.70... - no good on the weekend with rock or Brandenburg, both had solid support but the overs gods weren’t kind ! Probabeel way to good. Anyways onto the next , always chase your loses ! Cascadian hasn’t disgraced himself once this prep and with behemoth off to Everest , I reckon this is his race ! Since arriving in Aus he hasn’t missed 4th up, he’s 2/2 running 1st in the the star mile and 1st in the Doncaster prelude. Oliver has ridden him his last 3 starts this prep and arguably hasn’t given him a decent go yet , I’m hoping he writes his wrongs on his last few goes around Caulfield and gets him on the right leg before the turn finding no trouble to get the big white faced donkey his first group 1 ! Enthaar’s sectionals don’t lie but I’ll be honest the news she’s lame in the near fore has me rattled. I was on anamoe last start and I can’t see it running a bad race with a better run, wide gate is a worry but the 1200 at Caulfield has a long straight to the first turn (800 meters) I’m thinking it Should be top 3 and is better value than the fav ! Probabeel I think will stamp itself as one of the top horses this prep, she needs a good track to show her full potential, which we get ! She’s my best of the day. Young werther looked great last start and was the pick of the yard. Didn’t fire but was well below its best distance.
