19.01.2022 Last weekend the 2016 UCI Cross Country Marathon World Championships were raced in Laissac, France. Pure Edge ambassador Imogen Smith had qualified for the Australian team after winning the National marathon round in Alice Springs. The course in Laissac was hilly but not alpine, with about 2500m of climbing over 70km for the women. There was a mix of technical climbs and descents, forest trails and farm roads. And of course some gorgeous hill towns in the Aveyron. By the firs...t feed zone Imogen was inside the top 30, but had to stop for a quick wheel change as she thought her spoke was broken. With a race plan to pace herself until the 40km mark, Imogen quickly wound the pace up with 30km to go, and made up 5 places. With two riders in sight in the final climb she couldn't quite bring them in, and crossed the line in 20th place, a fantastic result from a last row start against many of the worlds best marathon racers. Congrats Imogen! Congrats also to friend of Pure Edge Briony Mattocks who came in 45th for Australia. Briony has only been riding for few years so has achieved a lot in a short space of time.

18.01.2022 Pure Edge ambassdor Jesse Reupena Parahi is about to fly out to Darwin for training camp with the Australian Men's Sevens Rugby side as the squad prepares for Rio 2016.
