09.01.2022 It is quite frankly DISGUSTING that a company can promote a product preying on us as consumers, knowing we are looking for natural ways to support ourselves yet... blatantly stuff us with toxic synthetic, untested ingredients. They are promoting that we breathe this stuff in all day long. They are filling our airways with toxins whilst filling their own pockets by using these cheap and nasty ingredients and trying to pass them off as essential oils that are grown, harvested, distilled, tested by dedicated growers. Ingredients that rely on the expertise of farmers and communities, specific weather conditions, environmental factors. These companies are taking cheap and nasty shortcuts, giving nothing back to the essential oil growers, doing nothing to support these farming communities, jumping on marketing buzz words whilst actually harming our health. Air Wick Essential Mist Ingredients: Distillates (Petroleum), Hydrotreated Light, C11-13 Synthetic Isoparaffin, Dipropylene Glycol Methyl Ether, Fragrance / Parfum, Linalool, Coumarin, HexylCinnamal, Citronellol, d-Limonene, Geraniol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone I used my Chemical Maze app to look up these ingredients. Are here’s the breakdown: Distillates (Petroleum), Hydrotreated Light - Derived from petroleum. A possible human carcinogen. Suspected respiratory, cardiovascular & neurotoxicity C11-13 Synthetic Isoparaffin - Derived from petroleum. A solvent. Not assessed for safety in cosmetics by CIR. May cause mild skin irritation. May have an occlusive effect.
