Inside the gym we exaggerate reality. .... - We lift and carry more weight than we would in real life. - We breathe heavier for longer than we would in real life. We put ourselves under more physical stress in these 4 walls than we would normally in real life. . We do this to adapt. So when life does get real tough we have already been there done that, and nothing could be as tough as what you have done in training. Especially the assault bike . 23.01.2022 Never miss two in a row. Whether it be a workout or a meal never miss two in a row. If you say M-W-F youll go to the gym and you miss one, you HAVE to make the next one. If you have one bad meal dont let it turn into a binge weekend. The very next meal has to be Healthy. By sticking to this rule never miss two in a row, you will create consistency, allow yourself to make mistakes without beating yourself up and stay on track for long term success. ... 15.01.2022 The last minute of The 8min Assault Bike Test... Felt like 2020. Hurt the whole time but SO much better for it 136 cals... This TESTING WEEK has been one of the greats and capped a solid block of rehab / training. Im not hurt anymore, Im just unfit. TESTING WEEK: 1RM Deadlift - 200kg Strict Pull Ups - 18 reps 30sec Assault Bike - 27 cals PB Clean & Jerk - 100kg Nancy - 12:24 PB Helen - 8:10 PB Ring Dips - 15 reps PB 8min Assault Bike 136 cals PB Thank you to all those that have supported me this last year to go from broken to open a gym, to covid to now. 14.01.2022 Thank you Purpose for continuing to be COVID compliant Purpose COVID-19 management plan UPDATES BEFORE CLASS: Please continue to wash your hands with soap for at least 20 secs or use sanitiser provided.... DURING CLASS: BRING a towel with you to every session USE IT- dry your hands after washing them, wipe your bench or other equipment you may use. AVOID touching your face NO TOWEL NO TRAIN this is a rule and no amount of burpees or assault bike calories will stop COVID but it may stop you forgetting = 50 burpee or Assault Bike cals for first offence BOTH for second or subsequent offences. (which there will be none). AFTER CLASS: a) coach will clean down equipment used AFTER it is put away b) Coach May ask 1-2 people to assist if necessary AFTER kit is put away. This is to minimise effect on the environment, resources and Maximise cleanliness by reducing double handling of sweaty kit. As always if you are feeling unwell or have cold/flu like symptoms please stay away from the gym until you feel better and get tested We want to thank everyone for their continued support around this, it is the new norm we must accept it, and do what we can to keep EVERYONE SAFE Much Love from YOUR gym Purpose

07.01.2022 Its easy to stay motivated or HYPED for a week, a month or even a season but what do you do when that motivation wears off or the goal gets achieved or it gets really hard? . To truly Transform yourself you must transform your standards. Transform INTO the person you want to become. James Clear says behavioural change is identity change So to be successful you must change your identity to become that of the successful person.... What do they do? How do they think? . If you have no standards these ARE your standards. Start by setting your standards, to BECOME that high performing successful person . What does this person ALWAYS do? What does this person never not do? How can I adopt those traits and apply those Standards to my life. . For an example to be successful in the gym: Never miss two in a row. Means: Never miss 2 workouts in a row Never miss 2 meals in a row for my goal, always follow a joyful less nutritious meal with a healthy one. Never dont do the things you said you were going to do 2 times in a row. If you said you were going to go to bed early, drink more water, stretch more...
