17.01.2022 Dear all I hope you are fine. Reminder about our thanksgiving mass this Friday 18th December, at the Rodriguan social club, in Melbourne . All invited. We still have 20 seats. Please come along and praise the Lord together and thank him for our lives. We have gone through a very challenging year. It’s very safe in the club as we do follow rules. Temperature, distance and sanitiser. Praise at 6pm, followed by mass. Thank you to all who have booked already. My number is 0400211729. Hope to see more people attending. At 6pm, praise and worship. Then followed by mass. After mass snacks and drinks will be served. I hope to see more people attending. Non members are also welcome. 13.01.2022 Dear members and friends, I hope that you are doing fine and those in Melbourne are looking for more easing of restrictions. For those looking to attend our anniversary dance in July, we are sorry to say that we have cancelled the dance. We miss 2 years now. Maybe nx year we might be lucky. For those who have paid for tickets, we will refund all money. Please contact Richemond Rose. Or nx time you come to the club, we will have the money to give you. We apologise for any inconvenience. Our nx Social will be Thursday 24th June from 10am. Hopefully we will be out of lockdown. Our Retro Dance at the clubhouse will be on Saturday 10th July. Refer to your calendar of events. Une étape qui le rapprochera du sacerdoce. Originaire de Rodrigues, Jean-Rex Casimir, 32 ans, est à Nantes où il poursuit ces études et son insertion pastorale. C’est une grande joie pour l’Eglise et en particulier pour le vicariat apostolique de Rodrigues. #Comment suivre la célébration ? Le diocèse de Nantes pr...opose une retransmission sur sa page Facebook à 18 h. Qui est Jean-Rex Casimir? Jean-Rex entouré des séminaristes et des responsables du séminaire de Nantes. Je suis Jean-Rex, fils de Frédolin et Josiane CASIMIR. Je suis né le 24 novembre 1988. Huitième d’une fratrie de 9 enfants, j’ai été profondément affecté par le décès de ma sœur ainée en juin 2019. Dès mon plus jeune âge, j’ai vu mes parents toujours disponibles pour aider ceux qui sont dans le besoin. Cela m’a aidé à développer une fibre sociale où la pauvreté et la poésie sont les deux piliers de ma vie. Par la suite, j’ai fait mes armes à l’école des anciens qui m’ont beaucoup appris. Ils m’ont transmis le savoir-vivre multiséculaire de nos ancêtres. Un trésor reçu est que l’essentiel, c’est d’aimer, aimer toujours et aimer encore plus. Jésus, l’homme de Nazareth, est venu à ma rencontre dans ce qu’il y a de plus ordinaire. Mes parents et d’autres témoins qui m’ont aidé à avoir confiance en moi, des amis sincères, une Bible reçue de ma maman en 2002, mes engagements sur tant de terrains pour un monde meilleur et la communauté réunie en prière pour louer notre Dieu d’amour. J’ai une pensée aussi à ces prêtres qui m’ont marqués car ils étaient à la fois hommes du peuple et de Dieu. Leur simplicité m’a fait me dire : Prêtre, pourquoi pas moi ? J’ai travaillé comme éducateur de notre langue maternelle, le créole, à l’école primaire. Six En 2013, j’ai demandé à Mgr Alain Harel, évêque de notre pays l’île Rodrigues, de vivre la formation pour me préparer à être prêtre. En cinquième année, je suis très heureux d’arriver à Saint Nazaire parmi vous. C’est une grande joie pour moi d’être avec vous. Tout est nouveau pour moi et je compte sur votre aide.
