11.01.2022 BEWARE UNQUALIFIED CONTRACTORS!! Some recent work I have completed required me to fix up the mess and kaos left by unqualified painters. Dont fall for the trap of CHEAP work. For example...some so called businesses claim to work for $35 per hour. No legitimate business can operate on those rates because legitimate businesses have overheads. Overheads can be reduced to make us more competitive but they are what they are. There is a huge difference between getting a profession...al to paint your home..or part of it.. than getting an unqualified person to do it. For instance..we are insured and licenced ..and YOU the client is COVERED should anything go wrong. An apprenticeship has taught us some of tbe technical side to painting that you cannot get on tbe job. We are trained to apply prep coatings and top coats that not only look great..but last. So many people fall into tje trap of putting their most expensive asset in jeopardy. Further to this..fixing up shotty work is an expensive exercise and I do feel for tbose people that have had to pay for that mistake. So...best advice I can offer. Get 3 DETAILED quotes from qualified licenced painters ..get references and please READ the details on tbeir quotes. Bye for now. See more
