25.01.2022 The Potter's Pyree Market featured on WIN TV production, "Living on the Coast, the Shoalhaven Recovers", in episode 2 which aired on Saturday, 1 May at 4.30 pm NSW time and went to all WIN stations nationally. One of the potters recorded it and I have attached it for those who missed it. Enjoy and thanks to Michael from "Living on the Coast".

23.01.2022 Shoalhaven Potters are holding their monthly makers market on Sunday, 23 August from 9am to 1.30 pm, next to the Pyree Village Hall, Greenwell Point Road in the Shoalhaven. The market ground was inspected today and is drying out nicely and will be firm for the market unless we get more heavy rain. Lots of Pottery, woodworking, embroidery, jewellery, plants, stone carving, gifts, cards, jams, preserves, soaps, lavender, hats, scarves, babywear and lots more. There’s also light... music and a coffee van. Please come out and enjoy the market but in this new Covid era, if you have any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms, please do not come to the market. The market is a registered covid safe activity, following government recommendations to help prevent the spread of covid.

22.01.2022 Regarding the Market for today. It started raining around 6pm yesterday at Pyree, and has been light but steady most of the night, raining lightly now and the forecast for today is 90% chance of 40-80 mm. We are disappointed but we have taken the decision to cancel the market. Thank you for your continued support.

20.01.2022 The current position with the Pyree Market is that Council shutdown our activities on 23 March due to the evolving Covid 19 situation. This position was confirmed as recently as 2 weeks ago. However, in the past 7-10 days there have been several announcements from the State Government of easing of some restrictions. The potters will contact council next week to see if restrictions on outdoor markets are being lifted as well. We will update as soon as we know anything.

20.01.2022 Further update. Earlier this week the NSW government announced the re-opening of non food markets, subject to restrictions. Only today have we been able to find out what it all means. The requirements are: 1) applying social distancing rule of 1 person per 4 sq metres. 2) Having a Covid19 safety plan. 3) encouraging the 1.5 metre rule and making hand sanitiser available. ... There was too much to do to be in time for the June market but everything will be in place for the July Market. By then we will be a registered Covid safe activity, have the necessary signs, sanitiser and other information required, and change the layout of the market slightly to help with the above requirements. Hoping for good weather on 26 July for the Shoalhaven's longest running art/craft/makers market. Thank you for your continuing support.

19.01.2022 Just repeating that today's market has been cancelled due to the disruption caused by the fires. Thanks to everyone for their past support and we will be back in February ready and rearing to go.

16.01.2022 Weather purrfect. Market in full swing. Come on down.

16.01.2022 It is with regret that the Potters have taken the decision to cancel the market on 22 March. We believe it is the best thing to do given the rapidly deteriorating situation with the coronavirus including a 40+% increase in cases in NSW in just the last 2 days. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and hope for things to improve as quickly as possible.

14.01.2022 An inspection was made of the market ground an hour ago. Due to the rain (over 200mm over 10 of the last 12 days), the grass cover (it has been too wet to mow in preparation for the market), the decision has been made to CANCELL THE MARKET ON SUNDAY. It was felt the market ground was too unsafe for a large number of cars to come and go. Thanks for you continuing support.

11.01.2022 Unfortunately the weather gods have abandoned our market. It has just started raining for the 4th time today, wind has arrived, more severe thunderstorms to the west, the temperature for tomorrow is forecast to be 14 degrees cooler than today, 20+kmhr wind and 90% chance of 10-20 mm of rain. Therefore, sadly, the market is cancelled. Thanks for your continuing support.

06.01.2022 I was going to wait till 6am tomorrow morning to make a decision about the market going ahead due to the wind forecast, however enough stallholders have already said they were not coming due to the wind forecast, so the decision HAS been made to cancel the market. Disappointing, as I know so many stall holders wanted to get back into the swing of things.

02.01.2022 The weather is perfect,, Market going ahead.
