16.01.2022 https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/H5LZ6D7 AIPP Survey 2020 The last six months have seen many changes and we know that many may have been directly affected by the restrictions imposed. ... What we have also seen is a desire for image-makers to come together for mutual support and encouragement which is something that has been reflected by the participation in online activity - not only by the AIPP but from other industry organisations. Whether or not you're a current member of the AIPP, we are interested in finding out more about you and where you sit within the profession or broader industry of photography and video production. The AIPP works to advocate and support across a broad spectrum including education, copyright, and other law reform issues that arise as well as engaging with members and non-members for events and industry awards. This survey is extremely important to us and your assistance in completing the survey will help us to gain an understanding of how and where the overall profession currently sits and also where the AIPP can structure its priorities and forward-thinking strategies. We understand that Covid-19 has presented many challenges. We are asking that you treat these questions as pre-Covid to help us gauge an overall perspective. There is a question close to the end which is specific to Covid-19. The survey will take 5 to 10 minutes of your time depending on how much additional information you would like to include. All AIPP members responding to this survey will have the opportunity to be entered into a draw to be randomly selected for a special gift as a show of our appreciation. Please check the end of the survey for details. We thank you for taking the time. AIPP National Board
15.01.2022 Hi everyone, Could you please sign this petition to help out our Victorian colleagues? While they may be "allowed" to return to work next month, it will be all but impossible with the mandatory mask rule. Vic council has created this petition, with backing from the Board, to have the mask rule amended to let clients remove their masks while actively being photographed. Thank you. http://chng.it/MCzZW7hf
14.01.2022 An update from the board: To our AIPP family, The AIPP National Board, together with representatives from the Awards Committee, have completed a risk assessment analysis to review and assess the AIPPs current commitments and member activities. The AIPP is committed to following recommendations for social distancing to limit the spread of COVID-19. The board wishes to advise that all options are being considered and decisions made may be subject to change as the information an...d advice it receives is updated. At this stage, a decision has been made to suspend all AIPP face-to-face events scheduled for this week that would include close contact with other people in closed quarters. Online activities and approved* events taking place outdoors (ie photo walks), may still proceed with correct precautions to be considered including: Avoid shaking hands, hugs and kisses. Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently using soap and carry hand sanitizer. Cough or sneeze into your elbow, or a tissue. Maintain at least one meter of distance from person to person. People who are sick or in an at-risk category should not attend. * Council Presidents are to contact the National Board to clarify if an event is approved. Outcomes and decisions involving events scheduled for beyond 23 March 2020 are to be confirmed and will be clarified further by that date. As always, we are committed to the health and wellbeing of the AIPP community, including our valued Trade Partners. We encourage all our members to demonstrate support, understanding, and encouragement of each other during this challenging and unprecedented period. The AIPP National Board See more

07.01.2022 To our AIPP family, We wish to advise you that we are aware of the risks and uncertainty of running community events that COVID-19 is creating. The Board and Awards Committee are meeting to complete risk assessments based on information and advice from health authorities and State and National Governments. ... Any events that are currently scheduled will be carefully monitored and your councils will advise you of any changes on a case by case basis. We will be providing more definitive statements as the situation evolves. Rest assured that behind the scenes we are working hard to ensure that, whatever happens, we will rise to the challenges and continue to support our community. From the President, the Board and AIPP Awards Committee.
