25.01.2022 We are enormously proud of the girls of NQ, who reached the semi-finals of the State Primary Schools U12s Girls Cricket Championships in their first appearance at the competition. An eventual 4th place finish is an outstanding result and just the start for schoolgirls cricket in the North!
25.01.2022 Congratulations to the MSW Volunteer of the Month, Sathish Rajendran! Sathish has been an excellent advocate for cricket within his club and region for a number of years now. His continued effort at growing the game and giving children an opportunity to learn and have fun is what see's him receive this award. Just a few achievements in which he has had of late is successfully entering BSK into the MSW Junior Cricket competition and attracting 6 junior teams, 2 of which are al...l girls! This is a huge effort in the junior space and is supported by big growth in their Cricket Blast programs also. Finally, the club with Sathish's drive have been working hard with council on facility upgrades to provide better opportunities for kids within the region and kindly offered to work on naming their sporting field in Matty's honour. A very worthy recipient, Congratulations!! See more

Matt was the Coaching & Talent Specialist for the Met South West and the Darling Downs & South West Cricket regions. He also held previous positions such as S&C Coach, and Cricket Manager. Matt was a prominent figure in the cricket community, as a player, coach and administrator. His impact to the game has been tremendous, and he will be dearly missed by many. Matt and his wife Ashleigh were expecti...ng triplets at the end of the year, as such a fundraising campaign has been set up through his family network to assist them during these tough times.
