15.01.2022 We have been busy back cooking in the kitchen with the QCWA Country Kitchens HON workshops over the past few weeks ,it been a pleasure to have 8 ladies through ...the St Vincent de Paul EALD program from Darling Heights School. QCWA Members from Toowoomba, Oakey, Highfields and Middle Ridge Branches volunteered over the past 3 weeks and enjoyed meeting the participants from Malaysia,Phillipines,Sudan and Iraq. 09.01.2022 Vale Ronnie Holden... the Cassowary Coast has lost a champion of the community and the environment but it's clear her legacy will live on. As this photo - taken... at the opening of Ronnie's beloved Johnstone River community garden on World Environment Day 10 years ago - suggests, Ronnie was at her happiest when she was surrounded by nature and people committed to protecting and supporting it. Her family, friends and community farewelled Ronnie fittingly, planting a special tree in her memory at the community garden where she spent so much of her time. See more
