14.01.2022 Hi friends! I was really grateful to have time to go and spend the day helping with the Rockhampton Special Children’s Christmas Party preparations. There was a lovely, energetic vibe in the room as we packed snack bags and toys in the morning and after lunch, Christmas craft bags. We enjoyed some funny banter as we worked and while we chatted, discovered there were ladies from several different CWA branches as well as volunteers from other organisations. I was told the CWA has been involved in assisting this organisation for many years. What a great way to spend the day!

08.01.2022 This years country of study for the QCWA is Japan. We are fortunate to have two amazing group members who speak Japanese and have a love of the country and its culture. At Thursday’s meeting Miranda B will help us practice two Japanese greetings:... Kombanwa = good evening Jaa mata, sayonara = ok then, bye, see you later Here is a photo of Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion), Kyoto that Miranda took on one of her trips. Thank you Miranda for sharing.

03.01.2022 Congratulations to St Paul's Catholic Primary School, Gracemere for a fantastic and LARGE donation to our first project - Kits for Kids. Principal Tricia Adair asked the school community to donate instead of money on today's free dress day - the school community heard the call and responded in droves, this bin and another 4 or 5 bags of items for kits for kids was donated! Here is a photo of twilight group member Roxanne Hodda & Matilda Hodda and Rachel Uys (both Year 6'ers ...heading soon to TCC) and principal Mrs Adair! Get in touch if you think your school or workplace could help!
