25.01.2022 By now, we would have had our AGM and be excitedly announcing our new office holders! Due to COVID and the year that has been 2020, BNSW has granted all associations exemptions for this years AGMs. We are still keen to hear from members and very keen to hear from people who want to help out, but we won’t be able to pull off an AGM this year. Reach out if you are keen to join the volunteer team in any capacity!

15.01.2022 Calling all players to register their interest for the Winter 2021 Season ACT basketball! All existing players are expected to trial We welcome the recruitment of new players for the ACT Winter 2021 competition for Queanbeyan Roadrunners, running through March 2021 to September 2021 (no playing through school holidays).... TRIALS are being held at Queanbeyan Basketball Stadium, Southbar Rd, Karabar. Register your interest - https://form.jotform.co/92322404935858

14.01.2022 In line with recent changes to ACT Government protocols surrounding COVID-19, Basketball ACT will be making the following changes, from TODAY - FRIDAY 13 NOVEMB...ER 2020. - stadium is now considered one space with an increased capacity to 500 people; - all teams and spectators to enter through the FRONT DOORS; - designated EXITS to remain (eg near Court 2 and Court 3 in Belconnen); - spectators to continue to scan in using Check In CBR, and sanitise on arrival; - front doors will continue to be locked at approx. QUARTER TIME - to allow stadium staff to ensure stadium numbers are managed, and teams exit the stadium prior to next game. SOCIAL DISTANCING is still very much part of the recommended protocols, so please be aware of your obligations... And finally, please remember players should refrain from high-fives and fist-bumps, and should sanitise accordingly when entering/exiting the court and at time-outs... We as a community are getting on top of this situation through good practices, so let's continue doing the right thing...

08.01.2022 Who’s in for 3x3? All players welcome! Grab your mates and get on it! Cost- $100 (incl GST, paid through SportsTG in team rego link)... Divisions- Under 12’s Under 14’s, Under 16’s, Under 18’s and Seniors for both Boys and Girls Team Composition- 4 Players per side. Requirement to Register- An active BNSW or BACT Membership. Do not have to be representative players. FIBA 3x3 Player Profile - Every player will be required to create a FIBA 3x3 player profile at https://play.fiba3x3.com/ where players, teams, BNSW and Basketball Australia can earn points across the board. This is free to complete Game Timings- 1x10 Minute, 1 Timeout per side, 12 second shot clock.
