06.01.2022 #TipTuesday Want more bounce in your step? Here are our #toptips to a flying Grand jeté! 1. Use your plie! Without rolling your foot ensure you are taking off and landing with a good plie. 2. Work on flexibility! Flexibility in the hip flexor, the hamstrings, and the inner thigh will give you more range of motion and allow you to get more extension in the air. 3. Strengthen your core, glutes and hamstrings! Strengthening the backs of your legs is vital to being able to lift your back leg up in your jete which is actually where many dancers struggle. Once in the air, having a strong core will help hold you in one piece and give you the feeling and look of floating. Happy jeté-ing!
