16.01.2022 1949 was considered a revolutionary year for The Ford Motor Company. This was reflected in the very futuristic move towards the 50’s. Popularly called the "Shoebox Ford" for its slab-sided, "ponton" design, the 1949 Ford is credited for its modern design which revolutionised its predecessors; with a new streamlined design, which included integrated fenders. In many ways it was the saving grace for the company; pulling them out of financial hardship.
