23.01.2022 The Pontiac Car Club had a short touring run on Sunday October 11, only 32km from Yatala to Logan Village, to visit Green Frog Hollow Cafe for lunch. The start point was Yatala Pies, departing at 10.30am to head south-west to Tamborine Village, then north. We arrived at Green Frog Hollow just after 11am for lunch in their 'barn'. In total we had 14 member cars participate, another good response following our recent outing to Esk.

19.01.2022 The Pontiac Car Club headed to Esk in the Brisbane Valley on Sunday September 27 for lunch at the Grand Hotel. It ended up one of our biggest touring events of the year. 18 cars and 34 people arrived from four different directions - Ipswich, Gatton, Toowoomba and Northern Brisbane. The largest group of 10 cars departed Dinmore at 10am and arrived at Esk at 11, with time to explore local antique shops before lunch. The Grand Hotel put on a fantastic meal and even had special Pontiac Club placemats made for us. Following lunch we returned home, including the challenging option of a drive over Mount Glorious back into Brisbane.

14.01.2022 You may not back a winner on the Cup today, but Pontiac Car Club members will all be winners with our Super Saturday Trifecta on November 7. We've got a great morning planned attending three great events and venues. First up is the monthly Turbo Drive Cars and Coffee Meet at Coorparoo. It's Brisbane's Woodward Dream Cruise and is set to be packed from 6.30am. We're then heading down to Nerang for the Seven82 Motors 8am new stock launch with 13 cars debuting for sale. On the way back we'll visit the new Gold Coast Motor Museum at Upper Coomera, including lunch at their on-site restaurant. Some car clubs have already gone to sleep for 2020, and others never woke up after lockdown. But the Pontiac Club has delivered for its members plenty of activities and new events. 2021 will be even bigger!

13.01.2022 The Pontiac Car Club had a number of members attend this event on Saturday September 19, held in a shopping centre carpark in the northern suburbs of Brisbane. This is the sister event to the legendary Turbo Drive Meet held on the first Saturday of each month. It was originally held at a homemaker centre at Jindalee, but a move was made to Taigum recently after a change of management. The first Taigum C&C was held in August on a wet morning on a long weekend, but still manage...d to attract 50 cars. Today's fine weather saw that number double and there's still plenty of room for more. The event starts at 6.30am on the third Saturday of the month, and several members followed it with a cruise to Joe's Diner at nearby Eagle Farm. As the Pontiac Car Club moves into its summer program we'll be attending more of these early morning meets, and the Taigum C&C is shaping up as a big one for the future. See more

12.01.2022 Very sad news in the Pontiac world today. We lost another legend. Milt used to be the head mechanic at Royal Pontiac and worked with Jim Wangers on special projects. Copied from GTOAA: From Michael Schornack, son of Milt Schornack... To the GTOAA and all it’s wonderful Family. It is with a heavy heart that the Schornack family announces the passing of Milt at 6:14am this morning November 14, 2020. We can’t express enough thankfulness for the friendship you gave. Milt never stopped talking about the people, events, and yes, the cars. You each gave him so much to brag about and live for and we can’t thank you enough. Sincerely Michael Schornack, and family. RIP 1935-2020

12.01.2022 Part 3 of our Super Saturday Trifecta on November 7 was our visit to the new Gold Coast Motor Museum at Upper Coomera. With two installments of our trifecta achieved by 9.30am, it was time for the convoy to reform and hit the M1 for the quick trip north. The museum was a worthy finale to the club activities for the day. Big money has been spent on this place, before packing it with over 75 cars, bikes and loads of memorabilia. A separate restaurant has been set up in an adjacent building, where many had morning tea before heading inside. Other car clubs also turned up on the day, including the Mercedes Benz Club and Kustoms of Australia. It's been a long time since we've had a museum of this size and quality in Queensland and hopefully it will be open for many more years. Definitely one for your 'must-do' list in 2021.

08.01.2022 Part 1 of our Super Saturday Trifecta on November 7 was Brisbane Cars and Coffee at Turbo Drive Coorparoo. Large numbers were already there at 5.30am and it would have been one of the biggest ever. Pontiac Club members had some prime spots, while the diversity of vehicles present continued to be a great attraction for owners and spectators alike. It's held on the first Saturday of each month, the next being on December 5.

07.01.2022 With continuing good weather in South East Queensland, the Pontiac Car Club was on the road again on Sunday September 13, heading south-west of Brisbane down the Mount Lindesay Highway. Commencing from Hillcrest in the outer suburbs at 10am, a half-hour drive took us to Beaudesert for a short-morning tea stop. Another half-hour then brought us to our destination of Rathdowney, for a pub lunch. We started making our way home from here around 1.30pm, finishing a good club day out.

06.01.2022 Coming up for auction this Saturday - one of four Pontiacs in the Lloyds Auctions regular Classic Car event.

04.01.2022 Part 2 of our Super Saturday Trifecta on November 7 was a visit to Seven82 Motors at Nerang for their monthly new stock launch. Seven82 have been in their new digs on the other side of Nerang for only a couple of months, and its a great attraction for any car enthusiast to visit. Today's event promised 13 new releases, including a couple of Pontiacs. The October new stock launch open day saw five cars sold. Would they top that? They did! Ten cars sold on November 7 with a com...bined sticker price of $950,000! Yep, just shy of a million! Classic cars are selling like hotcakes at the moment. With COVID ruling out many spending options, and leaving it in the bank to earn next to zilch interest not much fun either, investing in a classic is a growth industry! December 5 is the next open day at Seven82. It will be just as big. https://www.facebook.com/SEVEN82MOTORS/ See more

03.01.2022 Pontiac Club runs were held to three northside meets on Saturday October 17 - Taigum Cars & Coffee, Joe's Diner and the Northern Districts Rod & Custom Show at Redcliffe Showgrounds. Each one had around 100 cars attend. These events will become more popular as the weather heats up in Queensland over coming months.

03.01.2022 Beautiful 69 Firebird for anyone looking for one, owned by one of Australia's great performance parts supplier, so its got good heritage. Contact John if interested.

03.01.2022 The Pontiac Car Club's Super Saturday Trifecta lived up to expectations today with three great events for members to enjoy. Brisbane's premier cars and coffee meet at Turbo Drive was the biggest ever with loads of cars already there at 5.30am. We departed at 7am for the hour of driving to reach Seven82 Motors at Nerang for their 8am opening time. This was their monthly new stock launch and quite a few were sold while we were there. At 9.30 we were back in our cars and heading... north to the new Gold Coast Motor Museum at Upper Coomera. We spent a good hour and a half here before our final stop at the Oxenford Hotel for lunch. Members attended from as far away as the Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba for this one. The Pontiac Car Club is at the pointy end of all the great car events and attractions in South East Queensland and our members are reaping the benefits. More photos during the week. See more

02.01.2022 It was a long weekend, but that didn't seem to impact the numbers at Cars and Coffee at Coorparoo on Saturday October 3. A very large crowd turned out in fine weather with a wide diversity of vehicles on show. As usual, you need to get there around 5.30am or earlier to get a good spot for the 6.30 start. By 8am its all over although there was still a lot there by that time. This is becoming a 'must-do' event for many and spectator cars are filling nearby streets for up to a kilometre away. Unlike other American Car Clubs in Brisbane, the Pontiac Car Club is regularly represented and more Pontiacs are turning up each time. Experience it for yourself! First Saturday of the month, Turbo Drive, Coorparoo.
