23.01.2022 Whilst yesterday was the 75th anniversary of the official end of WW2, today (18AUG20) is the Anniversary of the Battle of long Tan in Vietnam, a day which is now commerated as Vietnam Veterans Day. - Never forget. 08.01.2022 Starting to get a bit of success with this faceboook but not fully fixed yet. So catching-up:- Covid is still haveing its negative effect on us all but, Forward, ever forward. One change to proceedure in the band room, in addition to sanitation of hands, face and instrument, is no more emtying water onto the band room floor. Bands are now asking members to have a water key, water collection system in which all members bring an absorbent towel or whatever onto which their wate...r is emptied and then removed to home for washing instead of the traditional system of just leaving it in the carpet on the band room floor. Its a good idea to have it in a plastic bay. Welcome to new members over the last few months:- Xanthe, Richard, Pravitt, Ryia (not sure of spelling yet), Pieter, Idalise, Hanne, Mina, Ruben and George. There is a recruitment flyer further down the page. Please share it. Our next potential performance is Manly Markets, Sunday 16AUG - QSB, BYB1 and 2. 06.01.2022 Last Tuesday was "Crazy Dess-up" day for BYB. Our BYB Band Captain had decreed that next Tuesday will also be "Crazy Dress"-up day. Not to forget that BYB2 has already declared that Wednesday is "Pink" day.

05.01.2022 It is with great sadness and reluctance that I have to announce that our Bayside Carols Committee, is just not able to overcome all the Covo-safe requirements to guarantee that mandatory "Social Distancing" rules will be successfully managed. It is a combination of not being able to receive confirmatory advise as to exactly what the rules will be on that day, pay for the additional cost of fencing and, being able to muster enough volunteers to then administer the Social Dista...ncing requirements. To all who have been working behind the scenes to keep the Bayside Carols alive, I express my sincerest thanks, especially to Julie who has work tirelessly for the last few months to put a plan together that would comply with the Covo-safe requirements. Let us all hope for, and do those necessary thing for, better year in 2021. Onward, Upward and Forward. Let us now devote our full energy to what is still to come this year and, make the best of it.
