20.01.2022 Howdy y’all! By gollies we’re all a busy lot aren’t we? Which is a great thing! But is also a big reason that’s lead our committee to deciding to postpone the fun-packed Season Opener Hoedown. Big thanks for all the support shown thus far; whenever it’s held it’s sure to be a barrel load of fun so stay tuned. Refunds to ticket holders will be processed via TryBooking today.... In the meantime, heaps of planning is already underway for the 100th annual Quairading Ag Show so be sure to lock that in to your calendar (for real!) for Saturday 10th October 2020!
20.01.2022 Another photo opportunity for our keen photographers. Get shooting!!
15.01.2022 Here's a photo opportunity for you budding photographers along with two chances at being a winner. Firstly, in the Ag Implements Easter competition and secondly, in the photography section at this year's 100th Quairading Ag Show. Big shout out to Ag Implements as one of our centenary sponsors - thank you for your valuable support.
14.01.2022 Info from behind the scenes - 445 grant applications equating to $69.1 M were received by the Regional Agricultural Show Development Grant program from across Australia. This was an overwhelming response to the $20 M the Federal Government had generously put on the table for upgrade and maintenance of showground infrastructure. Good luck to all applicants - you all do a mighty fine job in your rural communities. Royal Agricultural Society of Western Australia Agricultural Shows Australia
10.01.2022 Got to be in it to win it. 5 days left - hop to it!
09.01.2022 Thanks for stopping by this arvo Melissa Price MP - we cant wait to transform our dusty ag shed with recycled asphalt flooring (among other upgrades of equipment) thanks to funding from the Morrison Goverment’s Regional Ag Shows grant program. Fingers crossed it’s done and ready for our huge 100th Show celebrations next October! Pictured: Melissa Price MP with Quairading Ag Society Secretary Jill Hayes in the Quairading Ag Shed. 05.01.2022 All financial members of the Quairading Ag Society are very welcome to next week’s AGM, Tuesday evening at the @quairading_crc
05.01.2022 We have a floor!! We’re so excited to be putting our Federal Ag Societies funding to excellent use, with the first project on the list ticked off: sealing the Ag Shed floor! You’ll notice there’s also a spacious apron to the front and side of the shed, creating smoother and safer areas around the shed down to the footpath and toward the creek. So much room for activities! Thank you to our brilliant vollies in assisting to get this project done (particularly Peter, Roge...r & Stephen), thank you to the Shire of Quairading for redirecting our small grant for the postponed show toward site prep and thank you to Asphalt Recyclers Australia for their top notch service. 05.01.2022 Canola in the district is starting to flower and after good rains in the last week the season is looking up. We might not be holding our Ag Show this year, but agriculture is still putting on a show! #thankafarmerforyournextmeal #wawheatbelt #wanderoutyonder
04.01.2022 We’re absolutely thrilled to be receiving over $80k for improvements to our showground facilities and the purchase of event equipment. Our first project will be getting the floor of the Ag Shed sealed (goodbye dusty, rocky non-floor!) Thank you to Whitney Consulting for expert assistance with our application, thank you to Melissa Price MP and the federal government for investing $20m into regional ag shows and well done to all the shows & societies across the country who we...re also successful. ________________________________________ Fingers crossed we continue with good covid recovery results and we can all come together to celebrate the 100th annual Quairading Ag Show on Saturday 10th October as planned (and give the new floor the christening it will deserve!)
