23.01.2022 Our team love supporting the Drought Angels by collecting bottle and cans to help raise money for our farmers. Thank you Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd for coordinating this community program across Fisherman’s Island.

22.01.2022 Every year we refresh our skills in fire extinguisher training. It is an essential skill to have in a heavy industry but a great skill to take home to protect your family and your community. Reminder to check your fire extinguishers, fire blankets and fire alarms at home.

17.01.2022 November means: - Movember Madness - Men's Health - Moustaches everywhere... But most importantly, a movement to bring men's health to the forefront to educate, empower and make a difference. Across the world, men die an average six years younger than women, and for reasons that are largely preventable. Which means that it doesn’t have to be that way: we can all take action to live healthier, happier and longer lives. QBH is very passionate about this cause. Help the 'QBH Nuts' Mo-Bros and Mo-Sista make a difference and stop men dying too young. Donate to the team and help to inspire our mo-growth. https://au.movember.com/mospace/team/

17.01.2022 Great day, a few weeks ago, collaborating with Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd to share what the businesses do on Fisherman Island.

16.01.2022 A Hibiscus flower, with a special lady beetle at QBH - Our first flower from our 700 trees planted at our Southern Perimeter Planting Project. This is the first stage of our project with Bulimba Creek Catchment Coordinating Committee (B4C) for QBH to become an industrial ecological site to create a wildlife corridor using both natives and exotic flora. Our second stage commenced today around our office buildings - photos and details to come!

15.01.2022 Some Men think they know everything... and they might know a lot about most things, but generally not about their own health and men's health risks. Here are 5 things that every male should know and should do! 1. SPEND TIME WITH PEOPLE WHO MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD!... Stay connected. Your mates are important and spending time with them is good for you. Catch up regularly, check in and make time. 2. TALK MORE, LISTEN MORE You don’t need to be an expert and you don’t have to be the sole solution, but being there for someone, listening and giving your time can be life-saving. 3. KNOW YOUR NUMBERS, KNOW YOUR RISK, TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR - prostate, blood pressure, cholesterol, etc. At 50, talk to your doctor about prostate cancer and whether it’s right for you to have a PSA test. Don't be afraid to ask your doctor anything, he/she is just another person and there is no such thing as a silly question and you don't know what you don't know... The only silly thing is to say 'If only i'd asked, we could of prevented this!' 4. KNOW THY NUTS Get to know what’s normal for your testicles. Give them a check regularly and go to the doctor if something doesn’t feel right 5. MOVE MORE Add more activity to your day. Do more of what makes you feel good.

11.01.2022 A fabulous achievement by our team to achieve 150 million tonne of coal being shipped through our site at Port of Brisbane. Congratulations to past and present employees, contractors, service providers and customers for your contribution.

06.01.2022 Thank you to Bulimba Creek Catchment Coordinating Committee (B4C) for hosting their annual Corporate Catch Up last night. It is great to see how industry and environment work together to create wild life projects, rehabilitate areas and promote how team work and collaboration make a difference in our community.

04.01.2022 QBH from the Brisbane River... a rare sight for most of us.

04.01.2022 Did you know that Port of Brisbane is the only port in the world where all container operations are semi or fully automated? That's pretty impressive and something to be pretty proud of.

03.01.2022 This week we kicked off our Healthy Habit Program onsite. The aim of the program is to educate and empower our workers to identify what is important to them and what change might need to be made to improve their health. This program focuses on what each individual wants to achieve based on an initial health assessment. The assessments helped identify where each person was in relation to blood pressure, blood glucose, heart rate recovery, sleep, flexibility, core strength, p...ush ups, step test, metabolic age, visceral fat, body fat, etc. Michael Lawler from Eat Me Nutrition is helping provide specialised advice to the team with a personalised program to help achieve our goals (e.g. nutrition, exercise, sleep, etc.) Each employee and permanent contractor participating was provided with a FitBit Inspire HR to help track their progress. Regular education and movement sessions will also be scheduled over the 8 week program targeting areas of risk or interest. Wish us all luck!
