18.01.2022 Sending a big shout out and huge thank you to Big W Carindale for their generous donation of craft activities, toys, books, and clothes. These donated items will help our local families who are still feeling the effects of Covid-19. We have been helping families who have lost their jobs, have less hours, and also those who could not receive any Government funding. Pictured below are staff members Diane and Rachael receiving the donated items from Kate and her Manager.

15.01.2022 PLEASE SHARE: Some Queensland households may experience further outages tonight following the incident at Callide C Power Station earlier today. The Australian ...Energy Market Operator advises the issue should be resolved by 9:30pm, but they’re asking households to conserve energy use if possible to make this process quicker. If you and your family are in a position to, please consider conserving energy by turning off appliances, heaters and reverse-cycle air conditioning. Commercial and industrial users can also contribute to the effort by reducing energy use where it’s safe to do so. Essential services such as hospitals, transport networks, ports, airports and other key infrastructure will stay online. Traffic lights may be affected so it is important people stay off roads unless absolutely necessary. If you are on the roads, be careful.

12.01.2022 Great to catch up with Deb, the ever-popular Arthur , and the team from Queensland Youth and Families Support Services in Goodna, one of four local groups to r...eceive funding from round 104 of our Gambling Community Benefit Fund. The Scott Street community group will put its grant to good use through the purchase of a new mini bus , getting locals to and from services including the Join the Dots resilience program at Riverview Community Centre. Our local groups were among 586 across the state to share in more than $14.6M from the fund, supporting the purchase of new equipment and infrastructure as we continue to deliver Queenslands plan for economic recovery. This Goodna community service is supported by donations, and I was proud to drop off some non-perishable food to help fill this week's hampers. Applications for round 106 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund are open here: https://bit.ly/3fnUe5O.
