13.01.2022 Introducing the newest addition to the Queensland Baroque family. Please join me in welcoming Liam Mallinson (Viola), who today successfully auditioned to become a member of Queensland Baroque. Congratulations Liam. Here’s what else Liam has been up to recently: Liam Mallinson - Viola... An enthusiastic young musician who brings an engaging and emotionally resonant performance style to the concert stage. Liam has a passion for music both new and old, regularly performing new or atypical works in addition to traditional viola repertoire. He has been commended numerous times for his emotional engagement with his performances, as well as his enthusiasm to engage his audiences in informative discussions of the works he presents. He is currently studying a Masters of Philosophy in Music, researching and recording Australian compositions from 2005-2020. Liam’s greatest musical passion is as a performer of chamber music; in which he regularly performs as a member of the Sunrise String Quartet, Fimbriata Quartet, and Pulse Chamber Orchestra. He is also currently an associate artist with Southern Cross Soloists. Liam also has substantial experience as a private music teacher whose teaching methods foster a love of music, and an appreciation of music of all types.
