21.01.2022 Introducing Matt Domingo! A doctor who as of last month has gone on hiatus from medicine to pursue his passion for acting/dancing/singing... now thats a leap in faith I can admire! Matts passion for the arts began in grade 5 when he took up percussion, he said he will never forget his humble beginnings with the triangle! lol, where he excelled in both solo and ensemble performances on stage. He got involved with musical theatre and acting in high school where he soon realis...ed this was the thing he never knew he always wanted. As most people find with their passions, they sadly take a backseat and this happened to Matt when he moved to uni to study medicine, a blessing and a curse because this is where he discovered his passion for dancing and taught hisself guitar to stop from going insane. Can we all relate to that? Through multiple opportunities to perform on stage in North Queensland with multicultural dance groups, Matt took a year off to teach dance and perform with a leading Bollywood group in Melbourne (#JhoomBollywood). The performing again took a back seat when he returned to uni, and eventually starting work as a doctor, but it reached a point towards the end of last year when he realised just how much he missed performing and being on stage. Which brings us to 2020... where Matt decided to give this a proper go, and was very fortunate to be cast as the Prince in the Brisbane Arts Theatres production of "The Sleeping Beauty". Thats how this doctor, who can sing, dance, act, play guitar and drums ended up in our studio. Heather started out acting like most, no stunts on the horizon, infact she told ys she honeestly didnt even know stunts was a real career. About 6 years ago she did a weapons workshot at a stunt facility on the Gold coast and got talking to some qualified stunties. They invited her to their trainings and 1.5 years later she was qualified as a stunt performer! ...Female actors! Hear her story and start swinging a sword!! :) Heather saw a hole in the industry for stunt ACTORS. There were actors or stunties but very few qualified stunties who could act comfortably. That is what shes been working towards doing - training as many different physical skills as she can to become as versatile as possible. Including Trampoline, Athletics, Gymnastics, Martial arts and Parkour - which is her specialty. How fantastic is that!
