14.01.2022 Have you noticed the 'Bazaar' sign at the top of the Queen's and wondered why it's there? It dates back to when the theatre was used by Formby's Horse Bazaar in 1877 until the early 1900s. Even though it was built as a theatre, the Queen's has been adapted multiple times in its 170 years - from law courts, to a city mission, sale yards, livery, stables, warehouses and showrooms.

06.01.2022 History enthusiasts were lucky enough to enjoy a guided tour of our glorious Queen's Theatre over the weekend as part of the Open Doors program and the @historyfestival which is presented by the History Trust of SA. Built in 1841, the Queen's is the oldest purpose-built theatre still standing on mainland Australia and is proudly managed by GWB McFarlane Theatres @gwbenter.
