23.01.2022 I joined Quickstep in March 2020, where I worked in the afternoon receptionist role. Recently, I transferred into a six-month contract as a warehouse admin assistant, where I will help with data entry, filing paperwork, and compiling records into one system. In the beginning, I was a bit nervous, but excited for starting my new role! For the next six-months, I really hope to excel in the position. I want to gain more experience and further develop my skills, and continue to ...be recognised for what I can bring to the company. I also want to learn more about the business to build my knowledge and understanding so that I’m able to assist others more. I'm thankful for being part of a company that is able to support me and my future, and for having a supportive manager who has always helped me when I needed it. 22.01.2022 I've been with Quickstep for just over a year now. I already knew people who worked here, so when a full-time position came up, I decided to try it out. I loved it! Initially, I was attracted to the full-time hours of the job. I had also never worked in the Aerospace industry and I thought that it could be interesting and different. Since starting here, I’ve progressed to Level 2 and I’m looking forward to moving up to Level 3 and beyond as I continue to progress my career within Quickstep. - Kristin, Manufacturing Operator

To recognise all of their hairy work, Quickstep will donate a further $2000 to the team, bringing the total to $7,551 in support of men’s health! But it's not all over just yet... 20.01.2022 Today, we recognised and celebrated our amazing Quickstep Lifeblood participants, who have been donating or supporting the team since June this year together, they’ve saved 54 lives! 12.01.2022 Quickstep is advancing our digital processes as we strive towards Industry 4.0! Last week, our barcode scanning process went live in the warehouse. This new method will help to improve the accuracy of inventory, timeliness of transactions, and simplify the process of identifying materials and their locations. 09.01.2022 Quickstep is proud to announce our 10,000th F-35 component built for the global aerospace program. Through the manufacturing of more than 50 individual components and assemblies for the F-35 Lightning II aircraft, we are able to directly employ 170 highly skilled operations staff, engineers, and support personnel across the business. For the next two weeks, we’ll be collecting gifts to be distributed throughout the network, ensuring donations are given where needed most. 02.01.2022 We caught up with our Technician of the Year Nominee, Trieu, to find out how she’s feeling ahead of the Australian Defence Industry Awards next week. I’m really happy that the company picked me. I started at Quickstep as a machine operator and I loved working with machines, so learning how to set them up and get them running really attracted me to the NDT job. I also do a lot of problem solving if there’s an issue; so it’s very challenging, but also quite interesting - I love what I do! Best of luck Trieu - the whole company is behind you!

02.01.2022 Trust, but verify; that’s the mantra that we in the Quality department live by. I recently became Manufacturing Quality Lead; I’ve gone from working as a lone engineer, to managing a team of about 17; so it’s been a big step. Day-to-day, I deal with any quality related issues that occur in the hangars onsite, with suppliers, and with customers. I ensure that our manufacturing quality team has the competencies to get the work done on time, and to a high standard.... In the role, I aim to increase the flexibility of the Quality Assurance team overall. Four months ago, we launched a group cross-skilling initiative, which involves rotating our NDT technicians and quality inspectors to different areas of the business to expand their abilities.
